This prof, Westley eschews math because he is not able tot do the math required to understand economics to the point of what other Jacksonville profs teach you. If you are relying on his courses to get you prepared for other economics, accounting and fiancé courses, you will not be helped by taking Westley's classes.

Economics is like mathematics. Each course is supposed to build on the others. However, this teacher cares nothing for math and so you will be at a disadvantage if you take him., when you go to higher level economics. He only advocates his libertarian political view.

Dr. Westley is a great teacher. he makes the subjects interesting and gives good notes. I would recommend not missing class and taking detailed notes, because this is basically what his tests come from. I enjoyed his class. He doesn't hand out As, but if you listen, take detailed notes, and study what he goes over, you should be fine.

Dr. Westley is very funny and made economics not so boring. I really had to study for the tests though, and some of the material was difficult to learn. Showing up to class is important. But overall, I've really liked both classes that I've taken him for. I made a B in Micro, then had him again for M&B and made an A. Read the extra credit books!

Dr. Westley is a pretty funny guy. Show up to class, take notes, and study the notes. I also found that reading the chapters help with the test too. He lets you drop your lowest test score, so everything works out in the end. I loved his class.

Hardest class ever! try your best and he will help u out a little. I made 2 d's and an f on the final and still passed somehow. So don't give up. try ur best on every test and make sure u email him and tell him that u just don't understand the material and he will go a little easier on you. He does curve the grades at the end.

I took this class because I had to. I like him - he was a great guy, kinda dry and sarcastic but so am I. Unfortunately, in the Marathon S class, he was more confusing than anything. About half of what ws in the lecture was what was on the test. He even had questions from the footnotes and additional readings in the chapters - so expect it.

Dr. Westley knows his material, and he knows how to interact with students. He's very helpful, too. If you attend class and take good notes, you'll do fine. I did not use the book much for class, but he does take some quiz/exam questions from book material. You can survive without it if you attend class, though.

Just take notes, study them, and this class is simple. 3 tests, and a final. He drops your lowest test grade. Plenty of EC opportunities. No book needed. Has a very sarcastic sense of humor.

He is a pretty good teacher. He will let you come by his office and meet with him if you need any help with anything. He tries to make the class fun and he gives two reading assignments for bonus credit. He also lets you drop your lowest test grade, as long as you show up for each test. Overall, pretty good professor.
