Great class--Ed is hilarious and makes lectures interesting. Lots of little writing prompts, but you can often complete them outside of class and use whatever sources you want. Do the readings, go to class, and everything else will be easier. And SHOW UP TO THE EXAM REVIEW DAYS. He gives you 20 terms and quotes, and 10 of each will be on the exam.

The lectures that Professor Dauterich posted online were pretty much exactly what you had to write about for that week. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, and he graded pretty easily. As long as you wrote something that at least sort of made sense, you pretty much got full credit. Seemed really funny and chill.

Easy online course. The material is fairly easy, and although there are a lot of weekly assignments, they aren't too bad to complete. Dauterich knows a lot and it shows, and if you're having trouble, he even opens himself up for in-person help. Make sure you study for the quizzes. Gives a lot of feedback on written work and how you can improve.

Dauterich is amazing. As long as you do the work and attend class, you will be fine. He teaches for understanding, and is a fantastic resource. Don't slack off because he does grade more regularly but gives good feedback and advice. Try to get him for anything he teaches!

Too amazing to describe within the character limit. Witty, sarcastic and realistic, he's a real gem of a professor. He's very easy to talk to, can branch into different types of projects and topics just by discussing it with him. Very understanding and has conference days that are optional work days which help when you're busy or just need guidance

I had him for my honors colloquium, and even though it wasn't a topic I was initially interested in, Prof D made it my favorite class. He cares about making the class meaningful, engaging, and relevant, and is lenient with deadlines. Good amount of work, but not excessive. I would definitely recommend him for colloquium.

Ed Dauterich is an awesome professor. He's highly intelligent, an excellent professor, and very helpful. He's always punctual and willing to stay after class to talk. The class heavily relies on the textbook, but it's an interesting read and his quizzes are clear from the reading (and not too hard). I had to work hard, but really enjoyed the class.

Prof. Dauterich is awesome. He's really funny, extremely engaging, and he has a way to make students want to learn. If you attend class and put in effort to pay attention, you'll be fine. You can miss two classes and it won't hurt your grade, but honestly, you'll want to go to class. Although I don't like poetry, I loved this class.

Had him for an online class and his presentations were really funny. He stuck to the syllabus, and you just had to write an essay once a week. It was rather easy, but I learned a lot! Very enjoyable.

Ed is an amazing professor. He is willing to help with anything. GO TO THE CONFRENCE DAYS! Attendance at a conferece will usually result in an "A" for any paper. He knows what he's talking about and is willing to work with students if they are apprehensive about their work. I would take more of his classes in the future if I were studying English.

Smart teacher and knows what he is talking about. Can be challenging but nothing too hard. Reading the books is necessary to do well on the quizzes. Once the writing portion of the class begins, most classes become optional for conferences. Good teacher and good class.

Dr. Ed is an amazing professor. His class was challenging, but only because it really made you think. The work load wasn't heavy at all and he was always very helpful. I got an A on every paper, even though a few of them were late or short on words. You will never be in class for no reason; he gave a lot of optional conference days.

His class on violence is fascinating. He is a great listener and can see your point if you have an opposing view. He gives excellent feedback and returns papers in a matter of hours. If you try to do well, then you will succeed.
