You won't like him if you don't like stories. He's an amazing public speaker and you really do learn a lot if you show up and do your work. Even if you don't do your work he genuinely wants to help you. Some students are frustrated by his no-technology policy. Personally, his class was a favorite of mine.

His class was an utter waste of time. He is very old school to the point where his class is completely irrelevant to today's world. In this "public speaking" class we each only spoke 3 or 4 times the whole semester. He doesn't respect his students either, and treats them like freshmen in high school. Take a REAL pub sp. class with Eric Ronis.

He does talk a lot, but if you're taking his public speaking class his somewhat long winded talks are extremely relevant and insightful. Most of the times I appreciated his old fashioned teaching style (no email, only phone) and he expects a moderate amount of responsibility from his students. Which makes sense, we're in college.

He is really good at explaining concepts. He tends to talk a lot but if you want an A in the class, attend class and participate. He likes people who are outgoing and outspoken. Don't be afraid to say what you think.

I just finished this class with this instructor! The only thing I can say is that he is awful!!! If you don't care about your grades go ahead and take it, otherwise you will get a B-. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Horrendous. I dreaded this 3 hour class all semester. All he does is spend the class talking about himself, and I have hardly learned anything from him. If I hadn't read all the chapters assigned, I would not even know one thing about Public Speaking. STAY AWAY!

He managed to brainwash nearly everyone in the class into behaving a certain way and called that "teaching". He makes the most ridiculous theories about how people behave and tries to convince you of your own motives behind the way you act. He would make a great cult leader.

He uses scare tactics to keep everyone in submission. He is condescending and disrespectful to students. He uses the class as a venue to pour out his derisions. His education methods belong in high school. His 'punishments' are more in the spirit of antagony rather than being helpful or educational.
