I had Prof. Van C for 2 classes...definitely the most intelligent person I have ever come in contact with. He was also an extremely caring man who always smiled and made me love learning. We connected over Emerson and Thoreau, and for that I am forever grateful.

We will truly miss this wonderful, passionate and dedicated professor. He taught me more in two days then all 14 years of education in my life. September 1st will be a day we will always remember ... the day that we must remember him as a legend in education and literature. We love you Professor ... always have always will.

Very nice person, extremely knowledgeable. However, if you aren't a person that likes to talk during every period, don't sign up for his class. Constant talking is required for receiving an "A". He tells some great stories!

Prof. Van Cromphout is one of the most brilliant people alive. I'd stand near him in hopes that his intelligence would rub off. Unfortunately, he teaches the class as if people think like he does, making it difficult. Still,he's a great guy worth taking

One of the smartest professors I have ever had. Explains everything very clearly. Class is harder because grade is based on exams only, but he gives great notes in class. Would recommend to anyone willing to put forth a little effort.
