Comment:
Taking his Assembly class. He knows his stuff but does a rather poor job communicating his knowledge to the students. His lectures are extremely boring. His powerpoints are rather pathetic and barely helpful. The main textbook is very rarely used (I wouldn't bother buying it), but the Programmers Guide to Assembler is a must-buy. I would avoid him.

What can I say..this is a boring class. His tests are hard and he is not engaging with the classroom. He is a nice guy but sorry I would not recommend him. Not helpful with assignments or even information. Uses powerpoint and text but you are basically on your own.

Can be a little dry, but overall the class is worth it. Pretty easy, if you're willing to read and do the programming assignments.

Can be a little slow at times, but definitely knows his stuff and gives easy programs. Read the book a little and you are pretty much guaranteed an A.

All Programming classes I have taken have been very easy. This class has open book tests. Harrison has very boring lectures but accepts late work. Farage has much more interesting lectures but does not accept late work. It's your choice.

Very boring lectures. I fell asleep every class till i stopped going, but still made good grades because his tests are all open book, and most of the questions come word for word out of the book. He seems very knowledgeable, but cannot communicate that well. Didn't learn a whole lot, but got good grades.

Good professor. Goes off topic every now and then, but that happens to the best of us. Reasonable homework and programming projects, seemed genuinely knowledgeable and interested in his subject.

Lectures are uninteresting. Homework is easy if you keep up with reading. Tests are open book and are mostly SAT-style (true/false, fill in the blank) directly from the book, and go in order, so definitely check all your answers, and you'll do very well.

This class is extremely difficult to stay awake in. I was constantly nodding off no matter how much caffiene I brought to class. Very dry lecture. However, he is very intelligent and has a lot to offer, I definitely learned a lot.

The teacher is a very smart and personable but teaches in a boring manner; people always fell asleep. The class is very challenging because assembly just isn't intuitive. You will learn nothing from the lectures as they are taught with an assumption of previous knowledge even though the class only requires one semester of programming..Work hard!

knows his stuff but spends most his time teaching people who dont take the time to study outside of class. has a ton of knowledge to give and is ready for those who want to learn and not just cheat or slide through the class. lets face it..its not a fun and exciting subject to begin with

Slow moving class. Powerpoint is main teaching tool. Learned most from homework. Test arenĂ¢€™t hard but are closed book. Lectures are fairly dry/boring.

Intelligent, nice professor, but unfortunately he has difficulty at times communicating that knowledge. He is extremely helpful one-on-one. Exams are open book, and that is where most of the learning takes place.
