I spend an average of 6 hours a week doing homework for his class (Calculus IIMTH 202). We have 3 questions quizzes every week, so there isn't too much room to mess up, along with homework do every week. There were 2 weeks without homework due or a quiz. You will also be asked to make a"worksheet"twice using Maple which took me about 2 hours each.

Difficult class to be honest, he understands this fact though and is a very fair grader if not a little bit lenient. Looks for overall answer and following some sort of logical pattern. Makes for a very interesting class that you have to take as a math major.

This teacher is one of the best teachers at Brockport. Although he is a hard teacher, you will leave his class knowing the material. If he were to teach every undergraduate class, you would leave the college with the knowledge of a person who were to just graduate with a masters.

the reason im staying in brockport aft my undergraduate. I believe in what he does in the front of the classroom to instruct students will help me pass actuarial exams! Yes his classes are challenging for sure, but you'll leave his class a pro at what he teaches, benefit in one of the best and biggest growing fields in demand for math majors!!

He is one of the most helpful professors at Brockport. His class is not super easy but if you don't understand something, he is very helpful in his office hours. You have to work hard in his class, but getting an A is by no means impossible.

Discrete is a challenging course but Skogman makes it much more difficult. His notes are all over the place and pulls exam questions out of nowhere. He's a really nice guy and very friendly but try and avoid him if you're taking this course.

Honestly!!!! DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING WITH HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He teaches the material @ a graduate level. And u'd think its the teachers job to make sure ur learning and understanding wat he's saying! IDTS!!!!!! TOO smart for his own good. Nice guy and ok teacher But stay away like the swine flu and the middle east!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hes SO extremely intelligent that it negativly affects how well he teaches.Be prepared to spend >5 hrs on hmwk/week-although it isnt worth much, the info is VERY crucial if u want to pass the tests.Although tests are very hard, they are curved and are passable.Oh and MAKE SURE U ASK ?s WHEN U HAVE THEM!He'll answr and u wont become moreandmore lost

He is willing to help during office hours but the class is very hard. Most students in this class are taking it for the second time after failing his class last semester. Nice guy, but hard teacher and he really doesn't look at most of the students in the class even when he if there are questions.

I've had Dr. Skogman for a few different classes now, and he has always been very helpful. If you don't understand in class go to him during his office hours. He is very helpful and interested in student success. I think a lot of people that gave him bad reviews were not willing to seek extra help when they needed it.

i went to class everyday did all the homework which counts for nothing! and i still didnt pass this class the avg on 1 exam was a 40% and on the exam was a paradox (which wasnt expected or taught) dont take this class unless you have to with him. he is very smart but cant effectively verbalize to the students. the info in class was not on the tests

he was not a very helpfult teacher. he went way to fast and tought things that he though were cool and wasnt even on the test. his test are tough and he doesnt revew before test. homework is so hard too, unless you are a grad student.

this class caused me a great deal of stress. none of the homework was anything like the tests at all. and i am not the only one who experienced this. we think he is too smart and doesnt know how to lower the concepts to our level.
