Easy going professor but he does talk about his family constantly which isnt a bad thing but you learn some odd stuff. Easy exams that should last like 20 minutes and easy homework!

Took Health Econ (324). He made class as entertaining as it could be. Tests are take home and only other assignment is a lit review paper (+proposal, presentation, peer reviews). Really knows what he is talking about and is helpful if you ask for assistance.

Great professor - very clear expectations and covers the material in an engaging manner. Didn't use the text book much and focused mostly on lectures/power point slides. If you show up and take notes a solid grade is pretty easy to achieve.

He will try to trick you on the tests. The wording is super confusing and the test colors are slightly different so you think other people have the same test as you, they dont. Just an example of his trickiness

His recorded lectures are very long and you are better off just reading the book. The homework is pretty tough compared to the examples in the book, but fortunately the tests are easy and just main concepts. He tries to give feedback on commonly missed problems but it's basically just the answer and a copypaste from the reading that doesn't help

Difficult class. Make sure you paid attention during calculus/math because youre going to need it. Prof Davis is really cool but can sometimes lose students when skipping simple math steps. Always gives study guides with examples. Follow notes/homework when studying, not so much the book.

Fantastic. He doesn't use power points very often, but his lectures are very easy to follow and take notes on. Obviously, class is mandatory if you want to receive a good grade. He's also pretty funny in a nerdy kind of way. The home work you get is usually just discussion.

Fantastic professor! Examples are really clear and easy to understand -- this is my second class with him, and I wish I could take more! Tests follow his in-class examples and lectures exactly, so as long as you pay attention, exams are a breeze!

Good luck with this guy. If he cared any less about the class then I think you'd pretty much just have to go to the library and read the book. Slow at responding and hardly any of the material covered in class was even useful. Pretty lame class despite having high expectations. This guy just doesn't seem to care about his job or his students.

I loved this class. It was really interesting to learn more about Social Security and other public assistance programs. Wasn't always completely organized, but the exams were take-home and extremely easy. I didn't read any of the assigned material and got a 95% on the first two exams. Anyone who doesn't do well in this class just isn't trying.

Pal, with this much information, you need to have an outline, if not some kind of structure in your lectures. Also, if you're going to get into advanced economic theories, please don't offer this class under a sociology heading. I don't know what the hell you're talking about half the time.
