He's a a funny guy with very down to earth opinions. i wouldn't recomend him if you're worried about your GPA cus you never know what your gonna get.He tried to convince us,a class of like 100 to form a mob an burn down the bookstore because they charge us too much.i thought that was pretty cool.

Cool teacher!!! Really knew what he was talking about. Very interesting and well informed. Majority of his lectures were amazing...most of his videos were insanely boring. The only thing negative I could say would be that he's making me go thru Admissions and Records because he apparently forgot to enter my final as I have a B instead of an A...

John Wayne on acid. Very well informed about current issues. Very interesting to listen to. Very easy assignments. Not so great with 1-on-1 instruction but, if you're looking for someone who's entertaining and still knows his stuff concerning sociology, I would recommend taking Walsh before he retires.

I had him a while back and he is terrible. I learned NOTHING in his class. His lectures have nothing to do with the coarse or helpful on the exams. the book reports are ridiculous. he shows up to class like a reminiscing flower child mentally masturbating about his undeserving position as an educator..this guy loves to talk...but not about soc.

I liked listening to his opinion because i agreed with most of it. He is funny but don't be talking back to him or he'll kick you out. I didn't really use the textbook, i just read the chapter books and did my esays and i got a B. You really gotta read the books though and you'll be fine.

Got an A on both his papers. Pretty much failed all his test. Showed up to class everyday and ended up with a freakin 'A' in that class. Pretty amazing. So are his lectures, made you look at things differently unfortunately they had nothing to do with the test...show to class, do his papers and get an A!

If you're going to take Soc. 1A, do it with Mr. Walsh. This guy is seriously killer. Lectures are good and relatively controversial. He enjoys challenging his students and making them think. Choose a book report or an open, hands-on project with interesting topics. Great class! Tests are tough, but the lectures make it worthwhile! ++

Nutball. Just another example of a liberal educator trying to use his position of authority over young people to disseminate false information to help build a liberal voting base. What a waste of my Wednesday nights. All you have to do for an A is show up and read the assigned books. You can even not take the final if you don't miss a test.

Walsh is hella tight! One of the best teachers I've ever had. He encourages you to question authority and tells the truth about out corrupt government. If you need to take sociology 1A as general ed requirement, Take WALSH!!! he's so awesome.
