BEST TEACHER EVER! He's funny and fair. As long as you go to class and pay attention to him, you will do absolutely fine. He really knows what he's talking about, but he does tell a lot of silly stories, some of which are relevant, but others that are not. Other than that, I'd advise others to take him.

I love Batsie! I agree that he tends to go off on tangents, but they're usually relevant and you'll never forget his crazy stories. If you just pay attention, you'll be absolutely fine. And I honestly don't think he'll ever retire for sure.

Batsie's class is SUPER EASY!!! He is soooo funny & sarcastic. He gets his points through when lecturing. Due dates are always pushed. He is not that organized, but will still give credit if he lost an assignment. If you do well on his super easy 2 exams then you get a free be and not take the FINAL EXAM! However, he is retiring this semester. =(

John was one of the most enjoyable instructors I've ever had. He may seem off task and unstructured, however I learned and remembered more from his lectures than anyone I've ever had. If you attend every class there is no way you can get anything but an A.

I came to every class and I was waiting for him to discuss sociological issues, but instead he was exceedingly off-task and failed to provide an adequate and informative course structure and lesson plans. Organization was completely absent from the course. Completely vague and nebulous, and disconnected from the topic.

Great professor. Some students claimed to not learn anything due to his unique teaching style, but i would venture to guess that they remember more material than they thought they would. Very funny. He is not one to push a discussion, but he makes the lecture only style fun somehow.

It was an easy class. Batsie is fun. We watched a lot of movies. Attentance was graded but he is not very strict. There is only 5 assignments and they are not too hard. great class. Easy A.
