Comment:
His lecture is too vague and seldom concentrates on the calculation. But all his homework and exam are calculations. Also I feel like he just copies and pastes from the textbook, which is also not very clear.

I had him for three classes; MSE 330, 350, and MSE 440. He knows his stuff really well. He is always in his office and is super helpful if you don't understand something

He was a good professor to have for lab. Very knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects. Occasionally not as clear as he could be on expectations.

A pretty funny guy who has some good stories to tell during lecture. He seems like a very smart man so he has some trouble explaining the material at the fundamental level. If you pay attention and do the homework, you'll get a good grade though. He is also EXTREMELY helpful in office hours.

A fairly easy class, and Prof. Halloran is funny in a crazy old guy way. He understands that some of the material is boring, but you'll live.

Very enthusiastic and interested in the material. Understands that this is an intro class very well, doesn't teach above our heads. Some of his side stories are actually very interesting. Exams are super easy, averages are around 87% consistently.

He may be a bit of the wall, but he presents material in an engaging format that gets the point across. The class was a lot of work, but it wasn't hard if approached methodically. Watch out -- he gets picky over reports.

Comment:
He spends most of the class on anecdotes that have barely anything to do with the topic at hand. He only explains the general theory of things, but never the mathematics, but all his tests cover are calculations. When you ask him for help, he tries, but couldn't teach hsi way out of a paper bag.
