Great professor. Class is relatively simple, just stay on top of the assignments and don't procrastinate on the final project. Participate as often as possible and you can earn a ton of bonus points by the end of the course.

Amazing professor. I have had him for 3 different classes, and would recommend him every time. NOTE: He teaches using Inquiry Based Learning, meaning that he does not lecture, and there is more responsibility on the students, but there is overall, very little work for his classes.

Easy but totally pointless. I didnt learn anything and I recommend avoiding it at all costs...take 102 or 105. and this is coming from someone who hates math. If you're gonna be stuck in class you might as well be doing something useful.

TAKE THIS GUY! He's really smart, and speaks very clearly. If you raise your hand he will stop and explain everything. He will even do another problem to show you how things work. Lots of help available for this class. Even if you hate math you'll do fine! I made an A without attending the last few WEEKS of the class!

He is a very intelligent man, but sometimes he doesn't realize that we are not al at his level. Because the quizzes and the tests are on the computer program, sometimes we don't get to cover all the material before we are tested on it. He is a nice person, but sometimes he can be a little condescending when he is explaining a concept.

I actually enjoyed taking MA110 from Dr. Mayer. I am definitely not a math whiz and I was surprised at how each student was given the opportunity to earn as many points as possible by attending lab and lecture. Dr. Mayer is very funny and the material was not hard to understand. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone.

I just loved the fact his name was John Mayer and wore suspenders every day. The subject material was okay, but he made the subject understandable. I didn't have to worry about taking down notes because they could be bought at the bookstore!

I am not a "math person", so this was really confusing in the beginning. There is lots of help available, and Dr. Mayer is really nice and very fair. It's pretty amazing to have such a basic math class taught by a PhD, but he is clear and easy to understand. Go to every class and keep up with the homework. His system works. Tests are pretty easy.

This is an easy class if you pay attention and go to class. You must keep up b/c each section builds off the next. He is extremely helpful and has assistants that are available in the math lab. He gives many pop quizes but they are easy. He explains everything well and is very interesting - not boring at all! Easy A if you come to class!

This class was very easy. He does a great job of explaining things. All you have to do is pay attention and you will do fine. The homework he gives out in class is the best review for the test ever. That is the only thing i did to prepare myself for the test and i got an A in the class!
