The worse professor that I have taken so far. Took his intro to Sociology class online and it was horrible. He had "NO' clue what he was doing! During the discussions not once did he respond to me with any feedback. Could not get a straight answer about research topic. He is not helpful at all and talks about himself way to much. No es bueno

Horrible at giving directions. Not clear with explaining things. And not good about getting back to you. I was so excited to take this class. Mans now that I took it, I don't feel as though I learned much of what I was expecting.

One of the worst experiences. Only talked about being Latino and did not teach sociology one bit. Do not take this professor. He is cocky and brags about his PhD.

I loved Prof. Santiago's class. As a Latino, he brings the sociological perspective home by illustrating the concepts and how they apply to his own life- to a Latino. I find that to be an "out of the box" approach by adding life experiences. He does expect expect his class to be at a 300 level- not to great for slackers!

This professor was completely useless as well as the course. Prof Santiago does not know the material, and taught nothing due to constantly getting off topic. Waste of time to take this class, especially if you are paying for it.

Excellent professor with real world experience. NOT GOOD FOR ONLINE COURSES. Otherwise he is a solid choice for intro to sociology all the way up to getting your doctorate. He will make you do a lot of reading but you will learn the material like it or not.

I had this teacher for the first time for an online class. He was not helpful, I would e mail him questions and he would not e mail me back, He would only e mail to tell us that he would not be available. I have gotten straight A's the entire time I have been in college, and I got a c in an intro class....worst teacher I have ever had! No mercy!!!!

Very easy class but boring. Talks the whole time, only 3 tests and it all comes from the book. 9 page research paper which is most of your grade but he doesnt give a clear explanation of what he wants. It was an alright class.

This has to be the EASIEST class I have ever taken. Prof Santiago is a phenomenal teacher- very knowledgeable and entertaining: uses his life experiences to explain sociological concepts. This is a class you have to try to fail.

Not clear on expectations. Changes expectations frequently. When you are asked what your opinion on a topic is, he really doesnt want your view. Most of his lectures are based on his accomplishments & personal life. Wish I would have dropped and taken Soc with any other prof.

He is a great teacher. He knows a lot about the subject and engages students to think. Anyone who is complaining that he is unfair or hard most likely didn't put forward any effort because his class is not difficult. Great teacher.

if you're not good at doing 9 page research papers then dont bother. 40% of your whole semester grade comes from the research paper and he is very picky when he grades them. i suggest taking someone else that actually focuses more on sociology rather than your skills in english comp.

Awesome Professor. Passionate, interesting, and overall cool guy. Not afraid to talk about controversial topics or swear in class. Tests are ridiculously easy but the research paper is a killer. He gives the assignment on the first day for a reason! Work on it early!

He made his tests on what he said rather than what the book said, though he informed my class it was the reverse. I did great on the tests none the less but I suffered because of the essay. I read the instructions and followed them but got a poor grade.

I adored Dr.Santiago! He is very interesting, entertaining, and intelligent. He relates all topics to everyday situations that students can relate to. He's honest & isn't afriad to talk about sex, drugs, or alcohol. Didn't even open the book & made a B+ in his class. The only hard part is the final research paper, which is just time consuming.
