The economics major is pretty easy at UB but this professor makes things tough. Always one. Mostly Exam based which is ok but a possible exam question will be rate the order in which these economist died. No way to study for this or know what to expect. No lecture slides just rambles on things that will never comes up. Working hard is not enough.

final is optional. extremely boring lectures but he takes random attendance and does random quizzes on tophat so you have to go. powerpoints are awful and have 800 paragraphs crammed on one slide. not helpful to students at all. very unclear when explaining things that should be simple. he knows the subject, he just should NOT be a teacher

Lectures are so boring because he constantly goes off topic, you barely learn anything in during class. Because of that, you HAVE to read the textbook if you want any hope of passing. Takes random attendance and gives quizzes each class at random times. Only up side to his class was the final was optional based on how you performed on other tests.

Worse professor ever. I thought these reviews were extreme until 3 lectures in,all hope was lost. His lecture quiz has nothing to do with economics or anything that he had lectured. DO NOT SELECT HIS CLASS. If u are in the class already, the textbook is ur best bet in passing his class . God Bless Us All

I'll let you know right now that YOU ARE BETTER OFF TAKING MONICA CHERRY than this piece of a pre-historic trash can. 95% of the time he goes off topic and you will be sitting there thinking like WTF is he saying. If you take him and want to pass, make sure you read everything he gives out

75% of the grade comes from class participation, and tests, and another 25% comes from TA's discussion. Four tests in total, and the lowest one will be dropped. Tests are not hard, just don't know how to answer them by using the knowledge we have learned in class. Reading the textbook can help to answer a few questions on the HWs and tests.

I wish I could give him 0 on 5. How does a University hire someone who doesn't know how to give lecture. We had to spend an hour for his useless lectures which didn't help us at all. He writes an essay of 500 words on his 2 page power points to use a the whole week.

If you ask a question in class he will be offended. His slides are usually one page long and there very boring. Everything he says in class, in lecture, in the textbook and online readings are on the test. He's nice but I wouldn't recommend.

This guy is so condescending. If you ask him a question, he laughs at your stupidity and then proceeds to not answer that question. He also laughs profusely at his own jokes, which makes the rest of the lecture laugh at him. His test questions are so confusing, with numerous possible answers in multiple choice formats.

His exam questions are very specific. His lectures feel longer than they are because he tends to ramble for a while about off topic subjects. His exams are tough and they are graded fairly toughly. 10-12 page paper due at the end of the semester as well that MUST be text based (you are not allowed to use the internet). Attendance is random.
