Comment:

Course better on its own. Very time consuming to carefully understand concepts for lengthy assignments demanding specific examples with oral presentation. Most quizzes are short answers and diagrams lacking time to finish. Answers not given. Disregard unnecessary marking comments. Good job. Give yourself a pat on the back for getting it all done!

Comment:

One of the worst professor I ever had. She doesn't realy teach anything, all we do in the class is simulations labs, wich helps us a lot, but sometimes I dont even know why is she even there... The quizes and tests happens before the chapter is covered in class. If you dont know something about excel, don't expect to learn in her class.

Sarah is nice, but she is very old and forgets a lot of things. Her lectures are dry and hard to pay attention to. She gives assignments worth 1% that take 3 hours to complete, and is a very hard marker. She does not prepare you well at all for the exam, my class average on the midterm was 48%. Half of the class did not even finish the exam.

Boring lecture, skipped some chapters but its content were in the quizzes even so. Extensive assignments, and you will lose marks if you don't follow the rules (page numbers, document name, cover page, etc).

Comment:

The class consisted of a lecture then time to work on assignments. By the second test, I felt let down by Sarah as a teacher because she was giving tests about topics we hadn't covered yet and would learn about until 1-3 weeks after we had been tested on it. It's a good class if you already know excel, but it's a struggle if you don't.

One of the worst professors at Douglas College. She tends to skip over content during lectures but expects you to know them for the quiz and tests. Tests and quizzes are quite difficult and she doesn't prep you for them. Assignments are so time consuming and only worth 2%-5%. She literally hates her students! Will not be taking again.

Do not take this professor, she has no idea what she is doing, and actually questions herself while teaching. Her teaching style is super boring and I barely paid attention because of how boring it was. It's clear she didn't prep for the class, she didn't even use power points or explain concepts. I can't even state how bad she is in 300 chars.

AVOID!!! She is by far the WORST instructor! She has no experience or education in project management. She is extremely unclear and unhelpful. She contradicts herself and during class goes on boring, unrelated tangents that no one wants to hear about. On a couple of occasions she taught something wrong and had to be corrected by students! HORRIBLE

She is the WORST teacher I have ever come across in my student life. She doesn't even know what is she teaching. I took CSIS 2200 to learn some computer design, but she totally RUINED my interest in computer. she doesn't explain anything about assignments in class. You would have to learn by yourself. she doesn't reply properly. RUDE! DON'T TAKE!!

Worse CSIS instructor in the college. Has a very rude and bad personality towards the students. When the students ask her questions she gets mad and shows a rude face. The quizzes are very hard with very little time to finish. The assignments were very time consuming and she marks very hard on them and expects a lot from you. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Terrible teacher, unhelpful in almost every way. She will not go over any test's, quizes, or even assignments. The only way you will know what you did wrong on a test or assignment is to ask your fellow class mates or pester her in class. She cares more for reusability of tests than she does students. Be wary.

Can't believe she is a teacher she reads off her powerpoint the entire class and nobody pays attention. Has absolutely zero organization and for group project gave no criteria on what to do. She even says "don't make your presentation boring like mine". Anyways it is such an easy course though have an A and haven' listened to her once.

Sarah is very knowledgeable on the material she teaches. Be prepared to put in a lot of time & effort if you want a good grade. Tons of reading; long assignments. Final project was long, but meaningful in learning how to create databases. Don't skimp on the readings and do the assignments. She is there for you, but make sure you know your stuff.

Sarah is a pretty nice teacher. She is picky with deadlines so don't even think about handing your assignments late! Speaking of assignments, there are at least 8 assignments for this term and 6 quizzes. Study well using the textbook and you will do fine.

Comment:

Very easy and fun class. Just be prepared to the class and do all the assignments online. She marks very generously and takes her time in doing the lectures. Half of the time, she lets us do the work by ourselves so that if we have any problems we can ask her instead of doing it at home and getting stuck and leaving it incomplete. Got a high mark!

Such an easy class!!!! Best teacher ever and make sure you do the online assignment before class so that it s easy when you go to class. She does not give much test, she just gives us assignment, it is like learning ourself but with her guide denies. Encourages students a lot and marks tests very easy.
