Comment:

Covell is easily the BEST prof at avc. He's so funny, passionate, and is willing to help. Easy grader, gives extra credit, and I can't stress this enough he's flipping HILARIOUS he has no filter once so ever! He gives about 3 papers and a final. I've taken him for 95/99/102 he's that good.

Professor Covell is an odd teacher but one of a kind. There are 3 papers , 2 at home quizzes and 1 final . He his always available to help and encourages to seek help. I was discouraged at the beginning but once I got my B on paper two , everything was easy ! Must actually read the books and he notices the people who participate in class.

Professor Covell is the most amazing teacher at Avc. He is funny, intelligent, and brings out the best in all his students. I have never had a professor in any subject, that was able to motivate me as much as he has. If I could I would take all his classes. Not an easy A, must work hard for your grade

The best professor I have ever taken, Covell is such a funny and intelligent man. Show up to class, put in work and participate. If you do those 3 things you will pass! (Keep up with the reading schedule, if not it makes the class boring when only three people have kept up with the readings).

Professor Covell is by far my favorite professor at AVC. He made class so enjoyable, and he truly cares about you becoming a solid writer. He gave two rewrites on the first two essays which was extremely helpful. The books we read were really good, minus Chinatown. He makes a lot of jokes, so have thick skin and laugh it off. 100% recommended

Scott Covell is by fae the best and coolest teacher at AVC. Wish he taught every subject so I could have him for every class. Hes funny guy makes class fun and you dont mind coming to class. Non-judgmental, he likes to mess and around and will joke with just dont take it to heart!

I learned so much from taking his class. He really does care about students passing. He is definitely a tough grader but he gives rewrites on almost every essay. Go to his office hours, he will really help you out in detail. He's clear about what he wants. Very funny, sometimes crass. Side note: he is really handsome.

This is the second time I've taken Covell, and I will continue taking him for all English. He is a great teacher with Rated R humor. You gotta work for your grade but it's really easy if you dedicate yourself. Ask questions , show up to conferences!

Mr. Covell makes you love English. He is an interesting and quite funny, R rated, lecturer. Great insights and class discussions. There are 4 essays. He lets you rewrite 3 of them and gives feedback to help you become a better writer. Get the books, he will explain so much. Gothic Lit is so much better than I realized. Bit of work. Worth it!

Mr. Covell is such a cool guy. He makes me look forward to class. There are three 4-page essays due throughout the semester (which you can re-write) and the final is in-class. During class, we discuss the reading in groups. We usually watch the movie versions of the books we're reading. He jokes around a lot, so you need a thick skin!

Really great guy, would definitely take again. He is a tough grader but he ALWAYS gives rewrites on essays and he really cares about students passing. Very interesting lectures and reading material. We watched interesting movies. He is very funny but has a sort of crass sense of humor. VERY approachable. Side note: he is really, REALLY handsome.

Hes funny and cute.. His door is always open if you need help, lectures are not very long or boring if he starts loosing his class he knows exactly when to crack a joke. I loved the 8 week courses it helped keep everything interesting
