He generally cares about all of his students. While he doesn't technically grade attendance, his lectures are extremely good, and he is not afraid to deviate from the textbook method if he feels it is taught poorly. The whole class is graded from quizzes and tests, but the quizzes are super easy, almost exactly copied and pasted from the homework.

Professional in what he is doing. Passionate about teaching this class, making lectures easy to listen to and follow. Homework and attendance are not mandatory, but tests and quizzes are right out of homework. An easy and fun class if you pay attention.

Dr. C is very passionate and excited about Calculus. He makes the class interesting and relevant. I only had him for half of Summer C, but he is a fair grader and his tests are based on examples done in class and problems from the homework. Would highly recommend taking him for Calc 3!

I can honestly say Dr. C has prepared me for my future courses. Calc 3 was no picnic but he did not make it unnecessarily hard. Clear grading criteria & gives you practice probs from the book that will be covered in exams. Super understanding & even more so kind. It truly shows how much the UCF math dept has improved. I would def take him again

Amazing calculus professor. His tests are VERY fair, solely based on assigned HW problems. He is very passionate about math and wants to see his students succeed. He emphasizes everything you need to know to pass the class. I'm no math genius but I got a 100 on the first test. He lets you use a formula sheet. I hope to take another class with him.

Dr. Roy explains everything super thoroughly, and, by the end, I think I had a great understanding of calculus. His grading criteria is super stressful though. 2 questions per quiz and 4 per test can be very intimidating, and his grading can sometime be questionable (but probably better than most other profs). He doesn't have much of an accent!

He's a great instructor, and the course was full of interesting content. The homework -is- the exam for that material, and he's very clear about what he expects on the final. You'll become a better, more cultured student of mathematics if you take his course.

Dr. Choudhury is a gem. He is extremely kind and genuinely interested in your own interest in the content and your learning. He will assist you in any way. His good-natured demeanor doesn't mean he'll let you get away with not meeting the basic requirements for the course, you need to put in the effort. Fascinating class.

A great professor! Only had him for the first half of calc 3 and tests were close to homework and class examples and we were allowed to use formula sheet / any notes we wanted to put on. Repeats himself to make sure no one is lost. Very nice and wants everyone to pass. No tricks, surprise!

Dr. Choudhury is one of the best math professors at UCF. He's extremely clear when he lectures and genuinely cares about his students. He stops lecture at least 3-4 times per hour to make sure everyone is understanding.

Comment:
For a distinguished applied mathematician, Dr. Choudhury's strength was theory and proof. He explained the concepts of Linear Algebra remarkably well and made difficult proofs seem intuitive. His tests were far too easy, though, and won't prepare math majors for proof-based classes. If you're taking 3106, find someone else. Otherwise, he's great.

I wasn't as impressed with Dr. Choudhury as I expected to be. He he was excellent at presenting theory, but for a heavily technical class like Differential Equations, he didn't do a great job with examples. He's a very nice guy and willing is to help, but he gives bad tests. One particular exam was completely unfair, but he refused to adjust it.

I'm not sure if I learned how to cook or do math, but honestly no funny business was involved. Recipes, recipes, and lots of curry. On a test make sure to solve the whole shebang by standing on your heads, do a little song and dance, and use several arrows in your arsenal to open the can of worms. Take him on faith! He's a great teacher, not tester.

Wow! What a refreshing professor from the arrogant one's I've suffered through in the past. He is so gentle and sweet, yet does not tolerate anyone's crap. Strongly recommend him, very fair and generous grader. If he sees you know what you're doing but fudge something up, he'll give good partial credit. Very smart, too!

Awesome teacher, goes to extremes to help each student understand the material. Makes calc simple by setting up step by step directions for solving each problem, then lets you use a formula sheet on each test. Do the homework, take notes in class, and you will get an A no problem! My favorite teacher at UCF!
