-10/10 He laughs when students ask questions, is awful at explaining methods, and has been my worst professor at Clemson. He does not allow open notes, note sheets, or calculators on quizzes or exams, unlike other professors. Made us buy another MLM code despite the one from 1060/1080 still working and didnt help with refunds. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

This dude flat out sucks. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. Expect homework that takes upwards of 1.5 hours every night. Exams are brutal and he barely gives out partial credit and never any curves. He gets sidetracked all the time in class and you don't learn anything you just scramble to write it down. He means well, but it's not worth it in the end.

If you take his class expecting to learn something, you are in the wrong section. Every lecture is him confusing himself as his students having to basically tell him what to do and catch his (many) errors. His grading makes absolutely no sense, and he has taken points off of an assignment because my equal signs were on the wrong side. DONT TAKE HIM

Whatever you do do NOT take Parrott for Calc 3. He grades his exams either all or nothing, zero partial credit, despite the fact that he makes the same minor slip ups on examples during class that students make on tests. So by his own standard he'd be making 30s on his own exams. Disengaging in his lectures and is just not a good teacher.

He is a nice guy but gets confused every 5 minutes!!! He is not very clear with his directions but he will mark you off 10 points for missing a period. He is always behind and does not finish his lectures. The class is a mess. Take it with anyone else!!!

Parrott is not personable and is an overly mean grader. Be prepared for thrown together one question quizzes that you get either a 100 or a 0 on (doesn't give partial credit). It's possible to do okay in here if you watch youtube videos and attend PAL sessions weekly. But if not be ready for a letter grade or two below what you normally expect.

He is honestly the worst teacher I have ever had. He grades extremely tough and picky and flies through examples without actually explaining anything. His lectures are more like him talking himself through problems as opposed to actually teaching. I refuse to take him again for 2060. I strongly suggest you find another professor.

Mr. Parrott is a very nice man but can be quite confusing in class- his notes can get jumbled and he's pretty monotone. Pay attention to the format he wants in his answers and do the homework and you'll do fine on the quizzes. Ask plenty of questions and try to not skip class- quizzes are weekly but may be more frequent, and attendance is counted.

Absolutely a great professor, he does grade tough but you will learn the material. I would highly recommend and would take his class again. He is a little odd at first but he does lots of examples and tells you exactly what he expects.

I know so many people that didn't like Mr. Parrott, but I genuinely enjoyed the class and him as a prof. He was a harsh grader if you didn't follow his format, but if you played by his rules, you will get a good grade. I promise. His tests are designed to see if you can do moderate-level problems in the way he taught. Do the practice probs to study

Mr. Parrott is a nice guy, but his grading is a little absurd. The material wasn't really that difficult but if it isn't EXACTLY how he wants it you will lose a lot of partial credit. He does not curve at all, and I believe it is even stated in his syllabus. Proceed with caution.

Parrott is so nice but I dont think he knows what partial credit is. I lost full credit on a problem because he factored out a negative and I didnt. He teaches the material pretty well, and the tests could be worse, but like I said, grading sucks. The first quiz we took, I had the right answers, but it wasnt his exact format so I got a 30%

His exams are honestly not too hard, however that doesn't mean you'll do well. He will take 5/6 points off for arithmetic, so if you are not very meticulous and basically perfect, then don't expect an A. He is also a very slow grader. Will take 3+ weeks to grade exams and even longer to grade quizzes.

Timothy Parrott is an extremely tough grader. He does not cover the material well in class, and expects you to teach yourself the material. The homework is not required, but you will not pass if you do not do it. He is not the most helpful teacher outside of class either, and is difficult to work with.

Mr. Parrott is a nice guy - but not someone you want to grade your tests. He is incredibly particular about how you solve and format problems to the point where your grade nearly never reflects your understanding of the material. Great guy, but not a great prof - usually has a VERY high withdrawal/fail rate. Probably best to avoid to save your GPA.

Parrott has good intentions. He is really a nice guy, but his explanations of Calculus leave some to be desired. Lecture is basically just him going through a handful of problems from the book (which he often gets wrong having the class correct him). To get a good understanding of the material I had to watch another professor's online lectures.

Mr. Parrott was an incredibly sweet man. His lectures were very clear and specific. However, with his slow lectures and unorganized notes the class was pretty difficult. The concepts weren't bad, but there is no hw and a few examples. The worst part about Mr. Parrott is definitely his grading. He is extremely harsh and rarely gives partial credit.

Comment:
Parrott is not a good professor. He is the type of guy to answer your question with a wrong answer. He is the type of guy to be a "good person, but not a good teacher." He is the type of guy to have an annoying voice, grade harshly on your correct answers, and make you hate a class when you love the subject. I have never worked harder. STAY AWAY.
