Great prof, Professor Gordon. Class attendance is mandatory; there's a participation mark that's easy enough and his slides don't contain notes, you have to take down what he says, but it's obvious which parts are important. He actually cares about his students passing or failing and wants us to do well. I'd definitely have him as a prof again.

He is a bit extreme. He does know his material! But he marks tough. He has office hours, but doesn't like questions in classdefensive almost if one is confused.

The worst prof I have ever had. Saying that his lectures are boring is a gross understatement. Avoid this prof at all costs, you will regret wasting your life in his class.

Awesome. Fair and the TA's were great. Not much more you can ask for, crystal clear, gets his points across and no surprises. Gordon is up front and damn intelligent. This man knows how to run a class, and stimulates your brain.

i've never had someone take a subject I was interested in, and just hammer it into the most unengaging and lifeless format. I left classes frustrated. Sometimes I felt that he must think we are all idiots as the information he provided was often superficially informative, lacking depth and historical insight. Maybe in seminar classes he is better.

Diligent notes. Wonderful public speaker. Don't expect to be spoon-fed the course, but if you take notes from class and use his outlines from WebCT you will barely have to open the textbook for the exam. I still wonder how he timed every lecture perfectly and seemed to have every detail of the course memorized as though it were second nature!

Dr. Gordon is a brilliant, fair and honest prof. The complaints I've seen on here are obviously from lazy students who would rather blame their prof than actually get some work done. If they bothered to take the time, they would realize that Dr. Gordon's office door is always open to talk about the course, essays, and academics in general.

Professor Gordon was very interesting and he really knows the subject material. He was very friendly and helpful and I don't know why people are complaining about his late policy- 1% a day that is a gift! Most profs won't even negotiate deadlines but he is very understanding

Don't know what those other people are complaining about. I've had him in 3 classes and he's always been supprtive, although he doesn't put up with a lot of b.s. He did seem a little burned out this year.

As someone said, a pompus ass. 100% accurate. You can have medical reasons for not being able to complete your essay. 1 day extention? Give me a break. He needs to learn how to be human. I don't care how smart he is. ASS. I'm being kind. He's a jerk.

I felt he really looked down on the students. E-mail responses made it seem like you were trying to communicate with a robot. Very little compassion for students problems and extremly difficult to approach. He clearly knows his stuff, but his sense of superiority would make me choose a less knowledgeable prof over him to take this course with.
