Great professor. She knows the class material very well. You cover a lot of Latin american authors. Midterm, 2 (Short 2 page essays), HW, Final Research Paper 9 pages long, and Oral Presentation. Professor is really nice. She is harsh with grammar. Likes to break class into groups to do in-class assignments. Readings are not that long. Take her!

She's an amazing woman and great teacher. She doesn't focus on only essays, she loves mixing it up. She can get sort of confusing, especially if youre not fluent, but i still love her she's amazing. you do need to do the hw and reading but its not that bad

Very interesting course, but if you don't love essay-writing this isn't for you! The essays were very interesting and we watched fascinating documentaries. I do wish she spoke more English though. Sometimes it's hard to get your point across in a language you're not fluent in.

Sweet, cute old Argentinian lady who's been through a lot in her life, so for that she has all my respect. Go in to her office hours and talk to her; she's one of the most fascinating people you will ever talk to in your life. As for her class, it's a little confusing and difficult but not too bad. Pretty hard grader on essays though.

I have now taken her for a lower division class and an upper div. poetry class and I must say that after the first class I hated her, but this semester she really gained my respect. Take her for upper division,the class is about you learning to love poetry, not memorize stuff. Very beneficial for anyone who is interested in poetry or lit.

She was the first one to get me into Spanish Lit. She made me see it in a more personal and deeper level, appreciated it and love it. Her poetry classes are amazing and she helps u see what the poets are trying to say. Plus she gave me her book as graduation gift this year which I read during finals, it was good!

She is such an inspirational teacher! She is very social-justice oriented and makes classroom time not just a place of learning but a place of action. She is very involved in student life as well as promoting equality for all. Her classes are fairly easy in terms of work but that doesn't mean you wont learn - you'll learn in the areas that apply to every day life. I love this lady and I hope if you take her class, you will too. Plus, she opens not just her mind to you, but her personal life as well. GREAT!
