Amy was one of the best professors I've had. She was so helpful always whenever I had problems with any topic. Her instructions and explanations were so straightforward and she strived to make everything as simple as possible. I went into the class with barely any Algebra experience, and I left knowing so much more.

This is a professor who absolutely loves what she is doing. Her lessons are clear and easy to understand and if you don't understand it she's great during office hours as well. She's so sweet and caring. I strongly recommend her, especially if you haven't taken math in a while.

I had to miss class once to go to my friends funeral and she wouldn't let me make up the test and yelled at me how her class is more important then my personal life. She is not a very nice person.

Gives 9 quizzes and drops the lowest one. 3 tests (2 tests & final). Gives homework. If you need help, go to her office hours she is very helpful!!! I would recommend everyone who takes her class to do a study sheet of all the topics you learned in class to help you at the end when you have to take the final or for other tests/quizzes.

Van Pelt is such a sweetheart and she teaches the material as if she was teaching elementary students, but everything she says is understandable & will repeat herself & ask questions to make sure she was understood. There's homework, but it's kind of fun. Highly recommend her!

If you have the right attitude in class, you should have no problems with her. However, she does have a strict side (especially with attendance and lateness). Otherwise, she is a decent professor. The class bored me to death, mainly because it felt like kindergarten. If you like discipline, take her. If not, then don't. It'll save you lots of time.

She is the sweetest person that you will EVER meet. She is appreciates class participation and she gives A LOT of real life examples. You HAVE to go to class and she is strict on time. Her quizzes are fairy easy. If you fail this class, you have issues.

I took MAT240 aka Math for Elem Teachers 1 and she was soooo good. She basically taught me the same way she'd teach math in first grade. That's helpful because then you're being retaught math. She gives quizzes and exams but if you study, it's pretty easy. I definitely recommend her for any MAT course. I promise you wouldn't be disappointed

Very good teacher. Will spend as much time as necessary to make sure that the students really understand the concepts. Is also good about extra credit. Plus, she has a very balanced grading system, which is helpful if you're not the best test-taker. Recommended to all who fear math!

Math for Elementary Teachers 1. Awesome teacher. Possibly the best math teacher I have ever had. Extremely nice and approachable. Goes out of her way to make sure you understand everything. Really nice lady. I def recommend her!
