Dr Battle is super smart and caring. She really wants you to understand the theories and studies she chooses. The textbook is a good read as well. The essays are subjective so if you're an education major thats good- I was not so it was hard to write about education. Final group project is actually fun. Tests and quizzes are easy if you read

Comment:

She's awesome! Her class is tough but she really does care about what she is teaching, as well as giving you all the information and knowledge she can to actually prep you for teaching secondary students. Reading is crucial in this class. Much of the three hours is spent discussing, not straight lecturing. Seriously, take this class.

ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS EVER!!! She's not the easiest, but she cares about her students. All you gotta do is talk to her and she is understanding if you have any struggles. For a three hour class, she's good at keeping students engaged. Funny and Helpful!

GREAT TEACHER!! She will really get you excited about teaching secondary kids! Tests are not hard, either is the homework. The class is really interesting, and her style of teaching is more open discussion than overhead copying which is always a plus. I would highly suggest this class to secondary education majors any day!

Comment:

This was a really interesting course. There was a decent amount of work, but nothing unbearable. If you show interest in what she says, she will help you achieve a good grade. 4 papers, 7 pop quizzes, and a group project. Relatively easy to get an A with some effort. She is a great teacher though, very clear and understanding of students' needs.

The coursework is dense psychology but Battle makes it make sense. Her assignments are tough but her expectations are clear and she's always ready to help you out. Tough but fair is right; she's a good teacher and a good mentor in the College of Education.
