Dr. Mckenna is the best!! I had her for chem lab which is already a pretty bad class but she made it fun and you could tell she really wants her students to succeed! She gives good feedback and is willing to explain things well.

Dr. McKenna is probably the greatest prof I've had so far. She's sweet, funny and wants you to succeed. She's very accessible outside the class if you ever need help with anything. Definitely take her if you have the chance!!!

Good content, and a new class, so I'll give her some slack. Just very disorganized overall. Class started out promising, then became almost entirely lecture time and grading got much tougher. As a pilot class, it might improve in the future, but you will have to work for an A

She lectures some, but the whole chem program is "reverse classroom" so if you really want to get it, you have to watch the videos and do all of the homework. The small tests are easy but the big ones are pretty hard. She is good at teaching and loves questions so if you put in the effort you should be fine. She's probably the best option for 125

Flipped classrooms were horrible, barely lectured. Always felt scared to ask her questions because it seemed like she didn't want to help.

Dr. McKenna was great! She is super helpful and always very clear about her expectations for us. Always willing to help and there are several extra credit opportunities. She is fair, though she does expect you to work hard for your grade. I would definitely recommend her!

Absolutely the nicest lady ever. She's so sweet, and SUPER helpful. She doesn't go on until everyone understands and will meet with you outside of class for more help. Very flexible with office ours. I strongly recommend her. We didn't have tests, but the quizzes were tough. You have to work for your grade, but it's attainable.

She is the best Chem teacher to have, though it is hard to get a good grade. If you are continuing on in chem, take McKenna because she will prepare you better than other teachers.

Dr. McKenna is the sweetest lady ever. She is such a great teacher. Chemistry is not the easier subject to grasp but she makes it a point to slow down to make sure everyone can understand. She is always very flexible in being able to have office hours to help students. I would recommend her as the best chemistry teacher at csbsju.

Overall a solid professor. The only two problems I had with her are the lengths of her exams-she gives you 90 minutes for an exam that takes 2 hours. And unless you have a genius at your table, the group work is gonna rock you silly. I had to work my @ss off for a B. Then again, any CHEM234 class is no joke, regardless of professor.

McKenna is a good teacher. She teaches at a high level, so be ready to do some work. It feels like she is used to teaching upper level classes so she may have gone into more detail than needed for general chemistry. In the end, she gets you ready for the final and the next chem course. Her office is open although shes always tied up in meeting

I just dropped her class. She is all over the place. This wasn't a lecture class. It was all group-work. I didn't learn anything, as she never taught. She may be from down south & friendly, but this isn't acceptable. I am a pre-med student & wish to get something out of my education. It won't happen if you have her as a teacher.

Dr. McKenna is a great prof. She is helpful in both lab and lecture. She gives a lot of in-class group work which can get old but it really helps you learn the material. Hard tests so make sure you study. As long as you do your work and pay attention you'll be fine.
