I took this class the first semester of my freshman year. You do not use the book at all. I recommend that you don't take this class if you don't have to. Glad I only had his class for 50 minutes. He lectures the whole entire time. I promise that if you miss a class, you will be really behind. Missed one class and I missed about 2 wars.

I loved Dr. Lysiak's class. It isn't necessarily easy though if you dont put in the work. There are no powerpoints, and the book is not referenced, so it is all just him talking and you writing everything down. Write down everything he says, and work hard on the essays on the test, and you will be OK. An "A" is a 90 and up, so that is nice.

Listening to him lecture is basically like listening to your Grandpa, but in a good way. He is very descriptive & he likes to make jokes occasionally. Just take good notes & study what he talks about the most & you'll do well.

Take good notes. Test seem hard because its fill in the blank and some esssay questions. I thought of crap at first but ended up passing with a high B. Sit near the front. Just make sure you understand what he is lecturing and be able to write it down on a test for an essay.

Dr. Lysiak (Lee-shock) is a Genius; Best EVER! Texts barely needed, but help with bonus essays and fill-ins (essays and 10 1-word-answer questions on every test.) Write long essays & cover 3-4 topics. Answer all in class ?s and he'll love ya'! I took 4 classes with him. Take notes like mad! I took 7 pages of notes per 45 minute class and did great.

He's a really good professor. He basically just talks the entire time, but he's really funny so that's makes it good. Don't waste your time with a textbook and just take good notes. Sit near the front if you can, he can be a little hard to hear if you sit to far back.

Lysiak is a good professor. I had him for a 6-9 on Thursdays and it never went past 7:30. Attendence isnt taken but he lectures the entire class so you will miss alot of notes. Tests are essays and fill ins from his notes so don't bother getting the book. Has a dry sense of humor and is interesting to listen to. Great professor and good class.

Although the material for the class is boring, he makes it real interesting using his wit, comedy, and stories to make the class interesting. Tests are all essays and as long as you take the notes you should be good. Try not to miss class, because each class is packed with a ton of info. Real good guy though.

Don't use the textbook at all huge waste of money. Take very good notes and don't miss class unless a friend in the class takes good notes. If you miss more than 2 classes it makes things much more difficult

I think that this is probably one of my all time favorite professors. Yes he is extremely hard to get a hold of but he is very understanding. His lectures are more like stories that I should just listen to. Take the notes, he takes the exams straight from what he talks about. Great professor
