Her written feedback is distressing. She doesn't use blackboard or power points. Her grading criteria is confusing. I had to speak with the director for her horrible emails. I needed a therapist because I couldn't understand her. She has a sweet personality in-person but an evil personality when answers emails. I am still traumatized for all this.

She runs the clinical program, and I learned so much from it. It was my 1st experience in college that made psychology applicable. You will have to read the textbook thoroughly,she doesn't teach how to write the technical papers she expects from you, all the directions are in the text book. You will learn so much, but you will also do a lot of work

Dr. Brand is well respected in the field of psychology, and it is clear why. She is extremely caring for her students despite her busy schedule. She explains concepts in the clearest way. She wants everyone to do well and will help with whatever you are struggling on. Taken 4 classes with her and by far the best professor I have ever had.

I also took a seminar with her on trauma, I loved the course. Dr. Brand is thoughtful and cares about her students. It was one of my favorite classes, leaving an impact on me to this day. I would love to take another class with her. She is a fair grader and gives extra credit on the research paper if you submit drafts. I got a 99 on my final paper.

Horrible teacher, worst class I've ever taken at towson. You have 4 reflection papers out of 25 points, you can only get a 0, 10, or 25 no partial credit. Does not clarify assignments at all. You are supposed to learn about writing and I have not learned a single thing besides trauma. Good luck with the 10pg research aper

Probably the hardest grader out of any teacher i've ever had. There is no such thing as extra credit. No partial credit on assignments and tests. If you're 10 minutes late, expect to be counted absent. The class is about the prevalence of trauma, well i was traumatized just from taking this class. GOOD LUCK!

I took this class twice at community college & dropped both times. Dr. Brand taught the material very well. Make sure to take notes. If you miss the test, make up will be all essay. Gave chances for extra credit. She arranged for field to Springfield Hospital. Great Teacher! Would take again!

Comment:

Great professor, very knowledgeable about topics. The class was pretty interesting, but I am a psyc major. Her tests are not that hard, all you have to do is go to class and take notes and study. Book is congruent with lectures so u can read if u miss class and get same information. It is straight forward, and easy to pass with an A or B.

Not hard at all if you pay attention. Classes will drag from time to time but Dr. Brand knows what she's talking about and will often share her clinical experiences to illustrate what she's teaching. Really really nice woman.

I loved the class, it sparked a lot of interest and she def. knew her stuff, it was nice because she could give you real life situations to describe disorders. Her tests are very hard and require you to read the whole chapter, and take very good notes in class. However, there are two papers, and extra credit offered. She an awesome teacher

You guys are crazy. She may be nice and all, and not too bad to look at in a Mary Tyler Moore sort of way (i think she's cute) but she is very verrrry long winded and boring. Often keeps you in class the whole time or 10 mins past, tests are difficult and require extensive studying, least fav class.
