Comment:

Hohwald is an awesome professor. I took him for Western Civ and it was the easiest class ever. If you need a history gen-ed take this class! You only write about 6 two-page papers throughout the semester and do 2 "talks." The talk is writing a paper or doing a powerpoint and presenting it to the class. Most people do it sitting down. Easy A !!!!!!

Comment:

Prof. Hohwald is the best. His lectures are sometimes boring, but he will let you out early. You only have to do 6 2 page papers and 2 short talks and he won't give you lower than a B. There is no midterm and only a final that is 2 1 page papers. I would take him again.

Comment:

You have to do papers instead of quizzes and tests so this is perfect for people who struggle with test taking. Lectures can be long and boring but show up to class and youll be fine. The papers are pretty easy, too, so youll likely get a good grade. Very funny man, I would recommend him.

This is an extremely easy class. It might be boring at times but you would appreciate his class if all your other classes stress you out. This is literally a walk in the park. Take Professor Hohwald if you don't want to be stressed out by a course that you just have to take as a general ed requirement like how History is to my major

No tests or exams in this class, your grade relies on papers which are extremely easy. You will get an A as long as you put in minimal effort. Professor Hohwald is a nice and funny guy but his lectures are extremely boring. Sitting through class is literally painful at times

Professor Hohwald makes my Tuesdays and Thursdays! I enjoyed his class so much the first time around that this is my second time taking one of his classes. So far my favorite prof at Rowan.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate Dr. Hohwald a 100. To echo a comment below: This guy is ABSOLUTE CHILLEST professor EVER. I have attended 4 universities in my lifetime and spent my secondary education overseas but never have I had a teacher as awesome as him. Intelligent, knows his stuff, dismisses class early, no stress course, but you'd learn a lot!

This guy is by far the funniest professor ever. His jokes are witty, and he may be old but he knows so much about pop culture. Class attendance isn't mandatory but he's a hilarious guy and I wouldn't miss the class just because you do learn if you're paying attention to what he says. Makes a lot of GOT references which is awesome.

This man is by far the absolute chillest teacher I have ever come across in my 14 years in a public education environment. He assigns 6 papers and 2 "talks". Just write a 2 page paper on the subject, and you're guaranteed an A or a B. And he let me present my talk 2 WEEKS after it was due and I still got full credit. Btw, don't bother with the book

Very Very easy. If you show up to class or not you will pass. 6 short papers and 2 short talks. Gives you either an A or a B on a paper. Would take him again for every history class. Would not recommend to people who are actually trying to learn something about history.

An extremely nice, easygoing guy. His class is a joke. I wouldn't recommend if you actually want to learn history in detail, but hes such a chill guy that I find it hard to write anything negative about him.
