Professor MacIver is a really nice guy. He means well, but his ability to teach is horrible. Every 2 minutes in class you realize you have not learned a thing, until class is over and you realize you could have learned more reading the textbook for 5 minutes. He is very slow, monotone and quiet. Do not take. Ruined accounting for me (and my GPA).

Professor MacIver is a really nice guy. Terrible professor. You won't learn anything in class. I ended up with a 3.0 which isnt terrible, but he had to curve his class significant amounts because no one learned the material. You're better off reading the book and practicing on your own. He hates online quizzes but is forced to give them

Attendance is basically useless. Just read the chapters and go the class before the exam to get the low-down on what'll be tested.

He's a nice but not a good professor. He doesn't explain material clearly and he sometimes got confused with what he's talking or answering to students. You wouldn't want to pay this much tuition for this class.

Not a bad professor and a good guy, granted it is a hard class so you're going to have to do the work and study for tests. Definitely not the worst professor for 311, would take again.

DO NOT TAKE, he cannot explain the material well at all. He always reduces what he asks for on exams because he never covers enough information in class.

HORRIBLE. AVOID. He would leave the solution to the HW from Blackboard on the projector and just leave the class for 45 minutes to go to Einsteins or his office, come back and let us go 15 minutes early. I can't believe I wasted tuition money on his class. Doesn't teach you ANYTHING, and gives tough exams. Only good thing, he scaled our gpa's.

I'll give it to MacIver, he's a really nice guy who is always willing to give you advice. Good to have as a senior because he's a really fair grader, but didn't cover material as in depth as he could have so I'll have to do a little more reviewing in Audit for the CPA. Not the best, definitely not the worst at Bentley though.

Very nice man but unfortunately appears to be starting to lose his edge. When you pay for graduate school you want your moneys worth. Often let us out early, was not prepared. Exams are bizarre multi-choice where he cannot explain the "correct answer" You end up teaching yourself the material and class time is not used well.

The only good thing about him is that you won't be bothered by hw, projects or presentations. He is nice, but always surprising you by not showing up in his office hour. I went to his office hour 6 times, but only find him in his office hour once. Choose him if you are diligent and will teach yourself outside classes.

The only good thing about this prof is that u don't have to worry about assignment or other work like projects or presentation or etc. He RARELY replies students' emails. If u r in some emergency that needs his help, don't text him or call him coz he never answers to them. (he is not accessible via email)However, he is fair and grades exams consten

Not much teaching is done in class so be prepared to learn the material on your own. Class consists of putting practice problems on the board and he doesn't take attendance so I don't really go. 312 material is hard so this is frustrating, but he's also a lenient grader on the tests. If there's someone better take them but overall not horrible.

His classes focus mostly on doing practice problems so if you learn well by doing problems, take his class. Attendance is not mandatory at all. He is always so pleasant to talk to and a pretty lenient grader compared to other accounting profs. Definitely would take a class with him again.

Got a 3.7 in the class but I wouldn't take him again. I attended all classes and paid attention but learned nothing. He'd show the solutions to two homework problems (which the solutions were posted online anyways) and then let the class out 30 mins early. Won't answer questions or teach you anything. You learn by yourself.

If you don't read the chapters you will not do good on the multiple choice on the tests or the connect quizzes. Problems on tests are easy and are exactly what he goes over in class. Overall tests are pretty easy. Case study was ridiculous. Id take him again though.

He's straight forward with what he wants and puts on tests. If you just listen to him and do the homework you'll get a good grade. But if you're one of the Bentley students who always asks pointless questions to make yourself look good, he'll call you out in class which is always good for a laugh. One of the better AC teachers at Bentley.

Nice guy and tells you how to prepare for the exams. However, he doesn't teach and the classes are a waste of time. You need to learn on your own. He will go over problems but doesn't go in depth about the material.
