Any is a really sweet lady. Cares about her students and is wicked smart. Can be a tough grader but gives good feedback. Her lectures can get a little boring at times but she's awesome in discussion. As an advisor, she's not the most knowledgeable on what I want to major in but she knows where to send you if she can't answer your questions

Just wanted to put my two cents in as the Russian ratings are really old. Professor Any is by far one of the most passionate language teachers, and she will infect you with her enthusiasm. Russian is a hard language, and she will not give you an A just for trying, you have to put in some real effort.

I took God and Satan in Literature with Carol Any. First of all, the class name is completely misleading to anyone interested in actually learning about God and Satan in classics such as the Divine Comedy or Paradise Lost. Instead, the focus is on (Russian) books in which the characters represent God or Satan. The class is also painfully boring.

great teacher - involved with the subject matter, very knowledgable about books and tolstoy's life, and seems to genuinely care about her students. she is understanding and kind, and always willing to meet outside of class. highly recommend.
