I think her easiness has dramatically changed. She isn't an easy grader anymore, especially in this honors course. A lot harder than I would have ever imagined. Also, her grading scale is unclear. She doesn't give percentages, the grade is just "loose."

The books for 20th Century American Women Writers were interesting! Prof. Smith explains almost everything you need to know for the papers so I would recommend attending class. Paper topics were fairly straightforward and is an easy A class, IMO.

Prof. Smith was a great professor. There were a decent amount of books to read for 20th Century American Women Writers but the good thing is there were not any quizzes so its you could get away with not reading all or at least on time.

This class was a lot of fun- the readings were really interesting and not at all difficult to get through, and the paper topics were straight-forward. Prof. Smith is really nice and approachable, and she encourages you to think. If there wasn't much class discussion, it's because the same people (like me) were always answering questions.

I loved the books she assigned and found her very knowledgeable. I don't know what some people mean when they say that she talks too much. There was a lot of class discussion and I think that she enjoyed hearing different student view points. She may be a little easy, but if she was hard, people would complain about that too.

Very easy grader. I received A's B's on my papers and could not believe it. Talks too much though. Just come to class, do the reading and endure it.

Easy grader and the paper topics aren't difficult. The reading is very interesting. She doesn't really promote a lot of class discussion on the texts though and does most of the talking.

PLEASE never take this class!!!An A is possible, but it is not worth the torture. She needs to retire tomorrow.Class discussion is rare b/c she only likes to hear herself speak & does not give a damn about your opinions.
