Awesome teacher! Interesting, cares about what you have to say, and makes you really think. I had him for Honors Senior Values and I'm glad he taught it!

Prof Kelbley is the man. He knows his material and has a passion for Rawls' works. Think intelligently or don't waste his time. I took five courses with him and received A's in all. He and Davenport are a great combo-finished my major with just the two of them and A's in every course but one- A-.

I thought he was a fair grader given that the effort was put in. I thought he was witty, and not dry by any means. I find it imperative to do the reading so you could discuss it for class. The midterm was tricky and the final was fine given that you studied. There was a 10 page paper on a social justice issue. take him to improve writing.

He is a very nice guy and rather funny sometimes, however just a little boring. It's not that tough of a class but it is hard to keep up when you're like two seconds from passing out on your desk. Midterm was like 50 true and false, really weird. Overall, not a bad class.

Second time taking his class and he is very much the same as the first. Dry humor, but his lectures can lean towards the dry side as well. Paces the class well. Usually requires a ten page paper in addition to the final exam. Be prepared to learn about some law as he, inevitably, always includes it in his philosophy classes.

Professor Kelbley is great. Great sense of humor, interested in what students have to say, clearly very knowledgeable about philosophy. Class participation is mandatory. I don't know what that person below is talking about when they say he favors men.

it is a law class. he's fun but to an extent. you need to do the readings and have to really participate in order to do well in the class (and for him to like you). he's really smart and kinda handsome but is also extremely boring at times.

Professor Kelbley is simply the best professor. He brings integrity and a sense of humor to the lectures and the way he explicates the material. And he teaches at the law school and is a practicing attorney. If you want a great challenge and possibly what a law school class is like, take his class. But his classes are not for underachievers

Well here's the thing. It turns into a law class. He actually gave us Law cases to "write our own opinion" on. He's easy.. got a B+ without doing any readings.. Final was takehome but that was a one time deal.. He favors males to an extreme level..

Great professor. Does a fantastic job teaching Rawls' Theory of Justice and Political Liberalism. Clearly knows his stuff, and has a great sense of humor. Not the easiest professor, he does expect some work to be done.

Kelbley helps you to explore the meaning and purpose of the law rather than simply expecting you to memorize course material and attend lectures. His class was one of the most enjoyable and insightful classes i took at Fordham.

Klass would have been better if he didn't leave early or cancel class so many times (he's a busy guy). No way to get through huge textbook in class but smaller books assigned are easier to contemplate/cover. Nice guy. Funny. Integrates LAW into Philo.
