This class was not what I expected it to be. I took it because I thought it would help me in the future with medical terms. But, this class was more of a burden than anything. You have to memorize around 100 terms for each test and the tests are all fill in the blank. This class wasn't hard, but I wouldn't suggest taking it unless you have to.

Dr Ovrebo is wonderful. He is very clear on what he expects. If you study you will do good in class. I very much respect him and would take a class with him again.

I really like Ovrebo. He's definitely from an older generation and he makes that pretty clear. Everything is PPT and you hardly ever use your book. It's clear he wants you to pass and helps you do it. Tests aren't hard if you study for them. His biggest pet peeve is talking when he is talking. Just don't do it! Or he'll yell at you.

I took Bio Med terminology online and it was SO easy! The tests are at the school, so be prepared (I didn't know that when I enrolled). He is such a nice guy and always willing to help! You have to motivate yourself to memorize all the terms , there's not much he can do since it was online! The final isn't comprehensive.

I would recommend taking a different Micro teacher. Comprehensive finals (which other classes dont have), no study guides, power points are confusing as far as categorizing. He does be little his students sometimes. If you are good at memorizing small things you will do fine in this class.

Dr. Ovrebo is fine. If you do poorly in his micro class, it is because you are lazy and don't study enough. Oh yea and he doesn't make powerpoints available because you have to come to class (gasp!) comprehensive final is not that bad either and many of the concepts like aerobic respiration are review! For crying out loud people this is college!

Not a very good professor. Does not make powerpoints available. Teaches one thing, book says another, and nothing is remotly close to what is on the test. The only straight forward tests are the lab tests, which are put together by the biology department. Would not reccommend

He was a wonderful teacher! I him took over the summer and he gave you every single thing that was going to be on the test. One of the easiest A's I ever made!

He will go off on tangent s instead of talking about the material. He does not make his PowerPoint?s available. Tends to belittle students who ask questions. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ovrebo! Go to class, take notes, study your notes and you'll make an A. Test questions come straight from lecture. You don't need the book. If you make a bad grade it's because you're being lazy!

He tests over 6 to 8 chapters at a time, and its all over his notes you have to get in class. If you dont have his notes your screwed. He gives no extra credit, if your struggling tough, and he give you no hints. If you dont pass the tests you will not pass the class. Just so you know.

He is arrogant and I agree with the other rater. He pulls his tests out of nowhere. You have to remember EVERYTHING. He also has a comprehensive test which has about 40-50 pages of notes. The only people who did well were those who took cell biology or genetics. This was basically a review for them. Everyone else has to study extra hard.

The class was tough to go to. But the class is pretty easy if you can memorize about 200 word parts and regurgitate it back on a 125 point fill in the blank test. Memorization is key. This test will def. test those skills. Ovrebo is overall a very nice professor.
