I had Prof. Butos for my first year semester- loved her! So helpful and interesting, really pushed me. I wish I could take another class with her! If you have the opportunity, definitely take a class with her. You won't regret it.

Coming into the class I didn't expect much and was just taking it for an easy grade. I quickly found out that I would have to work HARD for my grade and that I would learn a LOT about writing. Professor Butos is truly one of the most talented professors at Trinity. Everyone should take a class with her if they have the opportunity!

Can't believe my college time was wasted on this high school course. Trinity needs to realize that not all foreign students suck at writing, and therefore should not make this course mandatory. At least, gimme a teacher who doesn't baby-sit or have a demented sense of humor.

Maybe it's her lack of phd training; maybe I've been spoiled by a string of stellar Trin profs, but CB DOES NOT stack up to her peers, no matter how you cut it. Nice woman, clear lectures, but intellectually shallow. HOW did she end up here--nepotism?

should only teach 100-levels. not very deep a thinker or even interesting to be teaching upper-levels. main problem: plays favorites. it's not sour grapes because i was a favorite. made things very pleasant for me, but didn't make it right.
