I felt this class was pretty confusing overall. I enjoyed the labs because they were hands-on, but Brown's TA would come during lab time and took a very different approach than Brown, and their advice would conflict. The lectures were the bulk of the class, and were really boring--we just read notes off a projector that we could get online.

I am a '98 comp sci grad - he was my adviser. Dr. Brown is a great professor. His grading is extremely fair and unprejudiced. He knows very much about what he is talking about. And he is also very kind. His lectures may get a little dull, though.
