Comment:

Was kinda funny sometimes even though he always looked like he had a hangover. He doesn't always stick with the texts which isn't a big deal until you try to get help from him. He avoids helping people and is hard to track down outside class. Was hard to get help even though I was in the hospital. Don't bother there are MUCH better teachers for CAL

Ignore the negative comments. If you have a sense of humor and a DESIRE to learn the deeper reasons math works and to think critically in class, this is the best choice. This is by far the best math teacher I've ever had and I'm an engineering major. His tests aren't necessarily easy but they are extremely passable and not difficult! GREAT teacher!

Funny guy, very smart. He's really helpful and seems to know what he's doing. Sometimes he'll give random quizzes for easy grades like write your name on a piece of paper, or say how many times he's left the room. Overall he's good.

i dont recommend anyone taking this class over the web like previous comment. he is not easy like some say it is. unless it you know it before hand or math whiz. his tests are hard and the book doesnt even show you how to do it.

I took him over the web, but he was always very helpful when problems arise. He even takes off your lowest test grade and replaces it with the final. He aslo aloud the class to redo past homework assignments to improve our grade. :O)

Took him on the web. Unless you have a mastery of the subject beforehand, don't take statistics on the web with him. Communicated with the class lots but failed to help explain material.Rushed problems and acted as if you read the text, you should know the material. I would not recommend this professor to anyone. He needs to go work in industry.

Avoid this teacher. He knows the stuff well, too well. He very fast-paced. He doesn't know how to slow down and actually explain it. Impossible to keep up. Tests are pretty hard. Also, if you take him, pray that the hogs have a good season. Very funny guy though. Just not a good TEACHER.

Okay, need to do more examples from the book. Also, we are students not fellow teacher so get on our level when you teach the material. The way you teach it makes it very hard to understand and the book explains it different that what you do. you know the material just not that great at teaching it were it can be understood. Made the class fun!

I really enjoyed this class... I would tell anyone to take him. At first people were telling me not to take him, but I did, and very happy I did so... He makes class fun and you never know what to expect when you show up... Just hope and pray the hogs have a good season when you are taking his class. Go Hogs Go!!!
