This is a fast pace class, but if you need clarification he will always answer any questions. Provides good reviews for tests which make it very clear what you need to know for each test, and there's always more than one review day. Homework is handed in after each test and graded on if you did it not if answers are correct.

Dr. Fearnley may skip a lot of steps throughout his explanations, but if you speak up for clarification he is more than happy to stop and give a more detailed guide through the question. He primarily grades based off of test scores, but he gives you plenty of in class review and he makes it VERY clear what will/won't be on the test.

Fearnley does great at explaining all the material. He doesn't follow the textbook exactly so it is helpful to be at his lectures, but not required. All homework for the chapter due before tests, not every day. Lenient grader on tests and does curves for all. Soft spoken so sit close to front!

Pros, Caring and he gives a practice test. Cons, you mess up more than 2 tests you won't pass, sloppy handwriting, and he skips steps in problems but if you ask to show the in between steps he will.

Rambles at the board for the entire class making simple concepts complicated. Dont try to take notes talks way to fast for that and good luck reading his hand writing it looks like a second grader with a broken hand wrote it. Take calc from Steve Marrin and youll be much better off.

Great professor who cares about his students and their success in his class. He always asks if anyone has questions before and after every lecture to make sure everyone understands. He is a bit nerdy and goofy, but very professional and awesome professor.

Professor Fearnley is great! He is way nerdy and super good at teaching math. He is caring! He always asks if anyone has any questions which I think is nice. His grading is clear and you mostly just take tests and do homework. Keep ahead on the homework assignments and it will make the course much easier. I definitely reccomend him to anyone!

Fearnley is amazing. I had a smile on my face every time in class, and especially when he talked to himself. I found him a bit goofy, yet very professional. From my experience, he cares about the students. He would ask if people are ready for the test and if they are not, he would push it back to another day. Plus the tests are not even that bad.

Prof. Fearnley is great, especially in the field of Math teaching! Finding good math teachers, or even mediocre math teachers, is hard, but he is good! He'll tell you what concepts he is testing if you ask him and you'll know which stuff you don't need to know, if you don't care to know it, or which stuff you can have fun learning without worries.

He is SO GREAT! I've had him for three classes now (Calc III, Linear Algebra, Geometry), and I'm about to take him again. His handwriting IS TERRIBLE though. Just ask your neighbors what the heck he wrote up there. Other than that, his reviews are SUPER GOOD, clear, and he's hilarious. Definitely recommend him. Beware: he does like his proofs...

Dr. Fearnley is a decent professor. For the most part, students can understand what he's teaching, though sometimes he is a little unclear. He gives reviews before tests, and the tests themselves weren't surprising at all; pretty much everything was just like what he had done in class.

Fearnley is a fantastic professor. He teaches very clearly and is very passionate about mathematics. HIs tests are extremely reasonable. HW is collected but don't weigh too much on your grade. The 3 tests plus the final make up most of the grade.

David is a good teacher. He only has a few things that he grades on but, he takes the time to review and makes sure you are ready for his tests. I would suggest him to anyone who is trying to go into a math major.

Had a daily class. He's a bit overly brief with the lessons, but he answers any questions you have. The tests are like 90% of your grade, with daily homework.

Doc Fearnley is pretty quirky but he's a good guy. There's a lot of homework, worth only 5% of your grade, but it's necessary practice for the tests. His tests are all only 10 questions, and he gives partial credit. He is always willing to go over problems from the homework and is very helpful if you ask the right questions.

Dr. Fearnley is a great guy. There's no doubt about that. But he struggles "teaching" the class new concepts; he seems more like he is reviewing rather than teaching. In addition, he constantly gets problems incorrect, to the students' disadvantage, and half of the course is doing proofs. No feedback, no good explanations, etc.

A bit dry but funny in his own way. Cares whether students understand, by the end of the semester was noticeably tired from students not doing their part. HW always starts super simple, has challenging proofs at the end. Answers questions in great detail for the first 10-20 minutes of every class. Tests are straightforward,5-10 problems(1-2 proofs)
