Professor Mason was one of the best professors I had at Butler. He knows an incredible amount of stuff, wrote several of the books we used, and got good discussions going. He also was very nice and cared about students.

Mason was one of the worst profs that I had while at Butler. His classes were utterly boring and pointless. PO201 was all about how to do a good search and generate stats. He made us buy books that were out of print. Intro to Int Politics he graded me down because he didn't like the position I took, though my paper was flawless.

Okay, so Mason seems cool in the beginning. Very laid back and go with the flow. And he does indeed watch the amount of homework he gives to you every night; HOWEVER, he may say not to study too hard for the tests or work too hard on the paper. SUCH IS NOT TRUE. He's a tough grader; and his expectations of you are definitely not clear.

Mason is very knowlegeable in this subject area, in fact he even wrote one of the text books. However, it is in your best interest to stay out of his classes because he will put you to sleep. he may as well stand at the front of class and quote his own book. his tests are NOT easy and he puts too much time into evaluating overnight writes.
