Comment:

Prof. McCool is definitely a good prof. to take for lab. Everything is spelled out in the manual and is easy to follow. Just show up, do the lab, and follow the report guidelines and you'll absolutely pass, probably with an A.

Comment:

Mccool overall is a decent Professor but makes the lab a bit harder than normal. She explains labs very well before they are completed and it willing to assists and answer questions. When it comes to the lab reports, you MUST read the handbook. If you do one thing wrong thats not done her way she will dock off many points with no flexibility.

She is very unapproachable. She is very picky with what she wants in lab reports, but never gives clear feedback to improve. During her office hours she is almost as little help as she is in the lab. There are quizzes before every lab about very unimportant and minor details about the lab. Choose any other professor for lab.

I had Ms. McCool for CHEM111 as well. Go to her office hours and have her read over your lab report and fix the things she tells you. It takes 30 minutes a week to have her do that and you're pretty much guaranteed an A. She's very easy to work with if you don't understand something.

Awful dont take her. Take any other lab professor she is not helpful at all and is very unapproachable the only reason I passed is because her TA was very helpful and made up for her lack of help.

Shes terrible. She is so specific but you dont know what she wants. You can go by the lab manual word for word and youll fail. Dont even bother asking for help because shell say that she talked about it in class and wont help you. Do yourself a favor and TAKE ANYONE BESIDES HER.

The labs are easy if you do the prelab and listen to her before the lab starts. It usually isn't 3 hours. Most labs I got done in 1-2 hours. Labs are fun, but reports aren't. Make sure you have all of the material in the report and correct number of sig figs. She takes off for minor things, but is a fair grader. Prelab quiz every week before lab.

This class was tedious, and is a lot of work for 1 credit. Do everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that the lab manual says to do for the reports. I suggest you start these reports early too, because they take a long time to finish. You will catch on to how specific McCool's grading is, and if you adjust accordingly, you'll be fine.

Do NOT buy the book.I got an A+ without even opening it.It was a total waste of money.Only study the notes and online quizzes.All of the answers to the quizzes are on the book's website, so there's an A+ on quizzes.Show up for class and there's your A+ on attendance quizzes.Memorize your notes, there's your A+ on tests, plus you're given half.

The class is an easy A if you go to class. She assignes online quizes for each chapter but ALL the answers are stright off the books website. Gives 4 tests, last test counts as the final. Plus she gives you half the test questions and answers to each test. Take her she is so easy

She is an OK instructor and the class is OK if you can memorize. Online quiz are unrelated to notes and can hurt you. She was out of the class the last to months(some type of illness), and Doc Hoover took over so not much more I can say.

WOW was that class boring.. she gives like a moment of silence for every disease she talkes about and i could not follow her or the notes. I liked bio and this class is a joke. The notes are nothing like the test. I don't know where she comes up with those questions plus a load of wok to do on angel. Do not take if u can help it

I really liked the packets that everyone else on here seem to not like. I found them extremely helpful. I also thought that she explained everything really well and that her lectures were informative and entertaining. I did minimal studying and received an "A" for my efforts. Nice, sweet teacher.
