I was one of those students who hates DBMS, but thanks to him, I feel more confident about this subject. He will explain SQL until you grasp the concept fully. Pay attention to his lectures, and try to solve exercise and assignments thoroughly.

Comment:

Professor Theodoratos is one of the best professors in the NJIT CS department. He can remember all students' name, really respect to each student. The database is not that hard and the slide is super clear. Your midterm and final grade would be the highest grade you get in these two exams. Need to do a group project at final but not that hard.

I bought the book but never used it, I learned most of the material from the lecture and the slides. If you want to learn about databases this is the best professor, it is a very challenging class.

Cares about students and teaching them with encouragement. Gives good feedback. The project is easy. Do the assignments and pay attention to what he teaches in class and you will easily get B+ or A. He makes sure each student is able to understand any topic. Goes person to person while solving SQL queries in class to teach each student. Real Gem.

Professor Dimitri is one of the best professors at NJIT. In one semester we gained advanced knowledge in database and can implement sql queries. Exercises, and two exams are all relevant. He explanation and illustration make complex subjects very easily understood. He is very helpful and have the enthusiasm to teach. I highly recommend his class.

I am happy to take database with professor Dimitri Theodoratos. Now, I can say that I have deep knowledge in database. He taught us how to draw EER digram , write relational algebra, write sql. I become advance in database. He gives us exercises in class and gives us short cut to solve it. My advice to get easy A. Just practice practice exercise.

The Best professor till date in NJIT and very helpful. He knows everyone in the class by name. His exams are open book and open notes. If you want to really learn SQL than just go for his lecture. I already knew SQL so it was fun and easy to go with the flow.

Has taught databasing for over a decade, so reuses same material and has standard approach for teaching. Exams focus primarily on application, and are difficult. Lectures were very clear, and all you had to do is practice to pass.
