Almost everything is based off poetry, so grading is extremely arbitrary. Objectives are unclear and seeking guidance is pointless.

Frost is awesome! English Comp 2 is a required course, but I would definitely take her again. The readings are not difficult - she really just wants you understand. She gives you plenty of time to revise, and if you ask her, you will know just what to do to get an A. Do the readings, go to class, participate in discussion, and you'll be fine!

I loved Prof Frost. She's super nice and extreamly helpful. She'll go out of her way to help your writing skills, but you have to try in her class too. thats the one mistake I made, i kind of got by like in high school. She is a tough grader though, so you have to work hard. Interesting readings and great discussions.

Took her for Feminism & American poetry. There were mandatory Poets Out Loud events and response papers. Her papers are fairly short and she is so approachable. I appreciate everything I have learned and the poetry and readings were really interesting.

I'm unsure my grade yet, but i hope to receive and A- or B+. Here close reading class focuses on poetry and short stories, which I personally enjoyed. 3 papers, a midterm and final which is pretty easy. She is always willing to help and work on your writing. Professor Frost is one of the most honest and fair teachers at Fordham. I recommend her!

English is my best subject and I'm a good student, yet I'm expecting a B in this class. Super-tough grader. Even though the paper lengths are relatively short you get ample time to write and revise them - yet not enough specific feedback to write an A paper by her standards. She's really nice and the class is interesting.

This course was fairly easy. Although the grading was tough, there's ample opportunity to rewrite your paper for a higher grade. However, she does play favorites...IF she likes you AND you can work her poetry side - she LOVES poetry- you can get an A (or A+). Otherwise expect a lower grade. Not what I expected in a class.

It was a good class and she's a good professor. Readings were interesting. My only problem was that she is a tough grader, especially on papers. Sometimes you don't know how to make your work better for her.

Not a very interesting class. We skipped from one subject to the next, reading material that many had read in high school, and never acquiring a thorough or interesting understanding of anything.
