Comment:

Dr. Heil is an excellent professor. She knows the material well and is more than willing to help. She grades papers pretty harshly, but fairly; and, the feedback she gives back on the papers is very insightful. I would highly recommend her.

Comment:

She is a tough grader and can definately take your self esteem down a few notches. However, Dr. Heil's enthusiasm for literature is catching and I loved her lectures. She tries to help students, but is often too busy to dedicate the time she obviously sets out to on an individual level, so you might want to avoid her as an advisor.

She's very smart, but is easily gotten off topic. Most of our class time focuses on personal stories or just conversations with her students. This makes for easy tests and assignments, and her classes are enjoyable.
