He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. He also lectures for three straight hours, twice a week, on a topic that could easily be covered in 30 minutes. He talks very slowly, and grades based on what he likes, not design principles. Supplies are expensive. Didn't learn anything I hadn't already learned in my high school senior art class.

Cialone has a lot of time as a professor under his belt and has really good tips and stories. Attendance is necessary since it is a studio class but it is easy to make an A or B. While his humor can be dry, he is usually easy to get in contact with, and while he wants you to be able to make artistic choices on your own, but he will offer feedback.

Alright so I was "required" to take the class according to my degree plan. Thought it would be interesting, and it was hell. The man has no respect for anyone with no talent. He legit told me I was no good at drawing, and that I needed a lot of work. Do not take him!!!!!!!!

If you don't know how to draw, it's ok, because after you take Cialone's class you will feel like you know it all! His techniques in drawing have improved every students' by a milestone. If you want to actually learn how to draw correctly and precisely, take Cialone. He's very laid back, soft spoken, and never rude about artwork. He's here to help!

I loved this class. Cialone was an amazing teacher and always helpful. I was sick a lot during this class and he understood completely. The only people who didn't like the class were the ones who didn't give it there all and were quite lazy. I learned so much in that class. I would love to be in one of his classes again.

When approached with questions, he'll either ignore you or make you feel as though you're wasting his time. Doesn't offer advice to everyone - only the specific students he deems most talented. He doesn't grade on improvement so if you have no drawing experience, do not take his class. Most serious art students have taken his class more than once.

He is very arrogant. He compliments the people that do not have talent and taught me nothing at all besides that i should never take an 8 o'clock class again, esp. not from someone will accuse you of turning in someone else's work. He is not very personable at all unless you are one of those people that love to talk to everyone.

the class was a lot of fun and there were plenty of examples to look at. he would walk around and help anyone that he saw needed it. he would also draw with the group instead of just lecturing us about it. even the "figure drawing incapable" came out of that class with a figure that looked pretty nice.

Unfortunately, one of those teachers who would rather have you marvel at his talent than teach you something. There is also a lot of in-class critiquing, so if you can't take criticism, don't take this class. Beware the sketchbook assignments, too. Overall, a disappointing class. He doesn't readily offer advice without you hassling him first.
