AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!He is by far the worst professor I've ever taken he goes on and on about all of these problems and only tests on 3 after you have shoved so much in your mind.ACCENT VERY THICK. The evaluations EMU has us fill out is not of any use this man will continue to teach so just avoid him to save yourself.

Avoid him at all costs! I withdrew once, failed once, and my GPA is so messed up now! Only grades on 3 tests and even with the cheat sheet I couldn't handle it. Never had any probs at EMU before. This instructor made effed with my self esteem...lol

Amazing Prof,seems like he has changed his teaching style after all the bad comments.Goes over all the possible exam questions during the classes. Just pay attention to what he writes on the board or handouts he gives out, those are the most important. I hardly used the book and got an A in the class. If you are looking for an easy A go for him.

People only leave negative comments because they do not do the suggested problems. I believe Dr. Sokkar was one of the best professors I have had in the Management program at EMU because he takes pride in teaching, he is informative, he grades on a curve, and he actually makes topics like Supply Chain interesting. Thank you Dr. Sokkar.

I am amazed by all of the negative comments posted. Dr. Sokkar is one of the best professors in the MBA program. His lectures were in the exact order of his notes. Textbook, lectures and homework all reinforced the same topics which made learning a difficult subject quite easy. Also grades/provides feedback on assignments in a timely manner.

Sokkar seems to not want to help students succeed. I have went to his office hours a few times/ he literally shook his head if I asked a question that he thought I should know. He makes students uncomfortable to ask questions that are relevant. IF YOU CAN, TRY NOT TAKE HIM, HE WILL BE THE CAUSE OF A RUINED GPA...all because of HIS teaching style.

Sokkar is one of the worst professor's I have had at Eastern. He does not clarify concepts well but explains that the test is mostly conceptual and also says if you do not know the concept, then you must not understand the material. Duh...He is not teaching the material. He says to everyone to read the book, instead of helping pinpoint your prob.

Prof. Sokkar's teaching style is awful!I never had a C in my life, and now I do despite the fact that I stayed up 'till 3am to study. You never know where his "conceptual" questions are coming from!You're grade is based on 3 exams only. Good luck if you have to take him. He makes this subject harder than it actually is.

Sokkar ruined my 4.0 GPA. I had A's in Calculus 1, DS265, and several finance courses. Hardly anything he covers in class is on the exams. Several things were on the exams that I had never seen before, even after weeks of studying. He says these are "concept" questions, and that if we truly understood the concept we would do well. Do not take him.

This class should not be as hard he the prof knew how to teach. Yes, he does some problems on the board, but not too much on the test looks like that. The conceptual questions are pulled from GOD KNOWS where, so even with reading the chapters, you will probably get you a C+. He has to curve in order to not look like his entire class is failing.

I withdrew twice. He was the only one teaching the class in the time when I could take it. He is very rude and insensitive. I couldn't understand his accent. The material shouldn't be that difficult but he makes it way too complicated. Crib sheet for exam should help but never know what to put on because doesn't provide study guide. AVOID HIM!!!!!!

To be fair, this topic is extremely hard - especially if you despise math, like me. Prof. wasnt the greatest, but if you read the book and understand the material, you will be ok. He lets you use 2-3 8 X 11 sheets (1 side) for the exam = EXTREMELY helpful!! Write down the problems from class and you will be fine!

Don't waste your time. I sat up front and participated everyday asking questions to make sure i got my 7 points of participation. I got 4 points :( no clue how but this teacher is garbage. I worked my ass off and still got only a C - I used to be a honor student. Could be an interesting topic but he is more concerned to go through the material than answer questions. Assigns homework but does not go through it in the class after it is done. I wish I didn't have to take him but was the only one teaching an evening class.

The worst teacher at eastern...Doesn't care about the students....The only thing he really cares about is if he fits all the materials into one class....He expects you to read all the chapters and stuff he posts online and do all the homework before you come to class....Also attendance is mandatory....I don't reccomend this guy to anyone!!!!!

The WORST teacher I have ever had here at eastern. Attendance is mandatory. LOTS of material covered and different material on tests. Way to much material on tests and not enough time to complete them, you always run out of time and he takes the right away. Horrible teacher, DO NOT TAKE HIM !!!
