His class is just him rambling about nothing, its so boring its painful. tests are unneccsarily hard. doesn't give study guides, you have the memorize the textbook (that he wrote) and even then its so difficult to get a good grade

I did not mind the class, but I hated the professor. He was extremely boring and lacked basic technology skills to present material to the class efficiently. Going to class was of no value to me because he was so boring and redundant; however, he hands out class assignments randomly in class so I was forced to go and waste my time .

I absolutely hated this course. It isn't hard, it is just completely mandatory to go to class. Almost half of your grade is based off of in class assignments. The class sucks because you can get As on the exams as long as you read the textbook so material wise it isn't necessary to go to class. He is also extremely monotone and boring.

Nice guy, exams every 2 weeks that are easy as long as you read the textbook that he wrote. Go to class for in-class activities. Interesting material everyone should take this course.

He's not the most pleasant guy to deal with, but his class is fairly easy if you attend lecture. Tests are basically memorization and there are a lot of in-class assignments. Gives a fair amount of extra credit, so that's a plus.

His lectures were irrelevant to test material and quite boring, but luckily he basically outlines every test question for you online. Sadly, the class was small so you still had to attend, but it wasn't too hard to at least get an A.

A lot of time he would go off topic or if you asked him a question he would answer a completely different question which wasn't helpful at all. He was monotone and although I don't think he does it to be mean he was rude to multiple people in my class. However, they give you a list of possible essay questions for exam so it wasn't hard to do well.

This was a great class. It was interesting and the lectures and the textbook correlate well. He teaches from the textbook but does not just read it, and adds supplemental material during class. He also gave extra credit. The class is a little long and boring during lectures, however you need to show up for the days he gives out participation sheets

I would not recommend this course. It's barely "positive psychology" because Brown is so monotone and boring that I felt negatively going to his class each day. You have to go to class because he gives out worksheets for points (super easy). However, if you do the readings and attend class you'll do well, but it was not a great experience for me.

Brown is a pretty boring lecturer but the material is so straight forward that you can't not get a decent grade. You can skip classes every so often cause theres no attendance and he wrote the textbook so you can find exactly what you missed in lecture.

Brown is a good guy who knows what he's talking about. However, I don't think he quite understands how to explain it. His lectures are mostly rambling with the book posted behind him. He gives no notes, study guides, or review material. Tests are frequent and other than in-class assignments (which are random), they are the only grades. DON'T TAKE.

Professor Brown is quite arrogant and clueless. He had no idea what he was doing and relied on his TA the whole time. The reading assignments took up most of my time and his tests were short answer. He is rude to his students as well. Whatever you do, do not take this course with him if you are looking for an honors credit.

"If you don't believe me, look it up."-his infamous line. He is wrong about a lot of what he teaches, but he won't accept it. He also calls people out for not getting a perfect score on his writing assignments, which is technically illegal. A major pessimist and not willing to help. He is probably the WORST professor at PSU. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN!

Attend classes in order to get easy 100% participation points. He would give some extra credits, which you can boost your grade by that for sure. Exams are kinda hard sometimes. You HAVE TO read the material carefully or else sometimes you might miss something and are not able to answer the questions on exams.

I am so afraid that his way of teaching will give false impression to public like "pos psych is so boring, far from whats actually happenin in real life" basically his lectures just all about "do this, that then ur daily life will be enhanced, if you don't? well its ur choice. don't believe me? check it out." zero detail in how to do those good bx

Exams were not easy at all! I thought it would be an easy A but NO. You have to read word for word from the book to do well on the exam! The lectures are sooooo boring as well. I should've dropped the class when I had the chance.

Great guy, Ok course. Some material from the text was interesting and helpful but a lot of it was common sense worded in Dr. Browns quirky way which at times can be hilarious but when it comes to exams you have to pay attention to the details and be good at memorizing them. Easy A if your good at memorizing, if your like me and not, probably a B-

Took this class because I heard it was easy. IT IS NOT EASY. Dr. Brown is SO boring and the tests are not easy at all. I read the chapters and attended class and I could not get higher than a B on a test. If you are looking for an easy Gen Ed or a GPA boost, DO NOT take this class.

If you're reading this, please save yourself and DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. The dude uses his own "book" that contradicts itself every other page. Not only that, but there are a ton of grammatical errors. Each tests, 6 in total, is composed of 2 chapters from the "book". 40 pages a chapter, and it's written in 10 point font. MUST MEMORIZE DETAILS

I love this guy! Honestly, he's so nice. He gives me hope for humanity. Some love him, some hate him. But honestly, he's a nice, old man who knows what he's talking about. TAKE HIM! He will inspire you. I learned so much.
