This professor turned me from being apathetic towards Shakespeare to a full-blown fan. That's about all I need to say, really. Fantastic knowledge of his subject and really creates an environment where the students are really *learning* and enjoying themselves in the process.

A wonderful teacher who makes his class interesting. I had Shakespeare with him, the quizzes are open book and if you put quotes into your answer, you get a high grade. Doesn't choose the well known works so you aren't reading Macbeth or Romeo & Juliet for the millionth time. Final paper is only 2 pages. Assignments are easy. Do them, get an A.

Passionate about his subject, but personally I did not like his teaching style or the class structure. That being said, he's an easy grader and the class is fairly straightforward. However, keep track of your grade yourself because he gives no grade updates and refuses to give an update even if you ask.

Sirc is the best professor at the U. He's helpful, flexible, intelligent, and extremely invested in his students. Get your work done and ask for help and there's no reason why you would have difficulty in his class. He expects his students to put in as much as he does, which isn't easy, but if you do it, you'll be fine.

He is hilarious, so enthusiastic, and kept information very relevant and interesting. As long as he can tell you put in thoughtful work, he's a pretty easy grader. He's also soft on deadlines. Highly recommended.

Sirc was passionate about teaching this class. It was a class on Hip Hop, which I love, and he did a great job of teaching me a ton about it. He was very energetic and funny in class. It was not an easy class, but it was taught very well. He knew that we had a ton of other work to do, so he was very flexible with deadlines. He is a great professor

Sirc's enthusiasm is contagious. I enjoyed pretty much everything about his class, but our "class discussions" primarily consisted of him ranting about this and that. Not necessarily a bad thing, but he makes it tough to get a word in. Either way, he's very helpful and provides wonderful feedback. He's a pleasure to know. Highly recommended!

Sirc is awesome. He absolutely adores the topics he uses in this class, and you can easily tell. Had some great conversations. If he seems like he's disregarding you, he isn't- he's just very excitable and wants to get in as much as he can in the time he has for class. Super smart guy, kind, and patient. Would recommend him to anyone.

If you like Bob Dylan, SciFi, or Batman you will love this class. I don't, so I was incredibly bored. Geoff is really excited about what he teaches though, and makes himself very available if you need help. He allows you to rewrite papers which is nice, but grades your first drafts harder because of it.

I really enjoyed this professor's "Literature and Public Life" class. The TA's were absolutely terrible, but I took two papers to him and he upped my grade (to an A). The required reading is very easy, and interesting; there are no tests; there are no quizzes; class is engaging; he is unbiased in everything he says; his jokes are funny. Recommend!

Uh, Uh, Uh...You hear that a lot in his class...Class is pretty boring and he is a hard grader, not really on final papers cause you can always do rewrites, but very tough on rough drafts grades, etc...Whole semester was focused on writing on one topic (music) too

He is a great teacher He is really fair and fun. At first he seemed kind of strange, very exited but he turned out to be the best "English" teacher I have ever had. He is a really nice guy who cares about students and he wants them to do well. I have really learned a lot.
