hardest class I have taken. great guy, but extremely lecture heavy and way more difficult than expected for concepts or A/P being the prerequisites. CGM with him uses a lot of same slides. Not the best presenter, pretty dry throughout the LONG powerpoints. Thankfully there is EC/assignments plus a term paper to help your already curved grade.

Dr. Cs class is hard. The slides are info heavy and he grades you on the random examples in them. So, come to class, and dont try to take notes. Just print out the slides. Study, study, study. He is rather monotone, but he throws in some jokes that are a dad joke kind of funny. And he is always willing to help either after class or over email.

Overall, this class is the hardest class I have taken throughtout college so far. He puts way too much material in one powerpoint/chapter. Could be 55-83 slides in one chapter. The quizzes are online and are so difficult to understand. 3 exams. Very nice but very difficult. You really have to dig deep to find answers to the quizzes. Tests are okay.

Comment:
Dr. Chamuris is extremely difficult. He gives quizzes and assignments after each chapter, and the wording is confusing so you more often than not get one/more questions wrong, and there are only 5 per quiz. His tests are hard and require knowledge of the smallest and most precise things that you barely spend time on. And this is a non major class.

Oh my goodness. This was the hardest class I have ever taken. The class is lecture heavy and he is so monotone, and it was so hard to keep focused on what he taught. He said how he doesn't give extra credit and by the end of the semester he was giving so much and moving the curve just to get his students to pass.

Worst professor ever. Goes way to advanced for a 100 level course. When the class average is a 50%, you need to fix your teaching style. The nicest thing I can say about him is he gives a lot of extra credit assignments. Avoid this professor if at all possible.

Dr. C was the first professor I had at Bloom. I took a summer class with him, and was pleasantly surprised that he made science much easier to understand than it had been in the past for me. He provided 3 opportunities for extra credit, and grades are based on 3 exams, 15 online quizzes (5 quest.), 11 pop quizzes (2 quest.), and 5 homework. Study!

Says the textbook is mandatory but I don't think I've ever used it. He doesn't take attendance but I would recommend going to class in order to get notes. He is somewhat hard to follow and his exams are kind of all over the place but he's not too bad.

Ugh, this guy made my summer terrible. Never looked forward to class. You could study forever for his exams and still not do well. Gives quizzes all the time that aren't fair, too. If everyone fails the tests, you should change the way you teach. Don't recommend him. Not one bit. If you must, get a study partner for your sanity.

Test are impossible. I would actually study and take notes and would get to the test and feel clueless. Lots of opportunities to help your grade out though including the big biodiversity project. Lectures are very dry.

The tests in this class are extremely difficult. He does grade on a huge curve only because he has to or most students would not pass the class. He needs to realize that this is not everyone's major. Most students take this class as an elective. I would not recommend him as a professor but if you have to good luck.

He's a great professor, and he definitely knows what he is talking about. I think the reason a lot of people complain about him is because he pushes you to do more than the minimum. He's just trying to prepare you for your upper level coursework. Don't just do the minimum for this class, and you should be absolutely fine!

I'm not a bio major and I found the tests difficult but there is a generous curve that helps alot. Dr. C. is also more than willing to meet with you during office hours and spend as much time as needed to help you understand. Take the time to meet if you don't understand and he'll get you through it. His generous help is much appreciated!

Dr.Chamuris is the biology teacher. He also says the students are not ready to learn certain things within the course. The course is very dead. He is very boring and dry like his jokes. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO!!!
