He mainly talks about theme of the poetry, literature, and short story. Attendance is mandatory for attendance. He is pretty chill & nice English teacher, and all you do is listen and do some reading and writing for essay via MS Word, and then submit by email for grading. He doesn't grade paper too hard. All in all, easy to pass this class!

Nice, helpful, and truly awesome! Just ask him for help in your essay and he's there for you. He is very very lenient compared to other professors. He accepts late work (no deduction points). Grammar does not really matter, only content on the essay. Make sure to have a good thesis and you'll do fine.

He's very helpful with his students; however, he is unclear about what he wants and not want in an essay so when he talks about the essay prompt make sure to write notes and ask questions! he does not give you feedback with the essays. He gives out pop quiz so make sure you read your readings. He also blabber alot.

He is a 'nice' dude. Has the passive aggressive thing going on for him. Lecture is about everything under the sun but English. Lots of in class graded homework. Papers were not so hard. He is not as clear to what he wants as far as fixing your mistakes on your papers. Very evasive, however do above a C and he might give you an A.

H B Miller is amazing, has a great sense of humor. Lots of reading and books required. But it will all pay off in the long run. The topics on consciousness and animal rights are very interesting.

Prof. Miller is a great teacher overall, because he is a very happy, kind and smiling person, and ALWAYS willing to help you with anything. However, he's not always clear and blabbers a lot. Also, the way he grades essay isn't necessarily tough but it's weird. I was confused a lot of times and didn't feel like being in class was always useful.

Instructor Miller inspires interest in the English language/stories/history value of the written art. I'm a business major and had no interest in any liberal arts course but I was required to complete gen ed credits. His enthusiasm for literature inspired me...I'll never be a writer but I'll never forget his encouragement either.

This class was pretty easy in my opinion. you just show up to class most of the time and just take notes during lectures, plus you're pretty much guaranteed to pass this class if you just do all your assignments, even if you do poorly on all of them, so don't withdraw for that reason. You will be writing 4 out of class essays+midterm+final.

took his summer english and it's really hard. he graded every step of the essay and add them together.i got A on the 2nd stage but got C on 4th stage! His grading is unclear and unfair. He seems nice and kind, but the lectures are boring.Don't choose him.

Took his summer session class thinking that he was easy but it wasn't. He grades harsh on essays, he is only helpful if you ask him for help after class 1:1. His expectations is unclear sometimes in his summer class since we only had 5 wks rather than a regular semester(4mths). Turned in 5 essays in total 1/week + a final

He's really nice and probably the most lenient English teacher I've ever had. I got an A in his class but I thought I wasn't for the longest time because I didn't turn in a lot of his work (be prepared, he assigns A LOT of work).

LOVE Mr Miller! He's a very helpful, knowledgeable teacher. Hands down the nicest teacher I've ever had. I got a B in his class, even though I failed both mid-term and final(I'm very dyslexic and bad at in-class testing). If your attendance is good, you participate, he's very forgiving. Oh, you may leave his class vegetarian.
