One of the best classes I've taken with a sweet lady which will help me a whole lot in my upcoming semesters as well as my future classroom! She thoroughly explains everything that will be on the quizzes and is MORE than willing to meet beforeafter class to give you feedback on lesson plans. And we had a snack system best idea to keep us going!

Dr. Hunt is extremely knowledgeable in her area. She cares so much about reading that it is contagious. She expects a lot out of her students, but only because she knows they can do it. She genuinely cares about creating the next generation of teachers. I love getting to have Dr. Hunt every semester! Her class is relevant and pretty easy!

Jane Hunt is full of herself. Her class is not helpful, and I don't feel prepared to teach writing or reading. You will know who her favorites are. Too bad she is the only one who teaches block 1 and other reading/writing courses. Fun Fact: Helen Hunt is her sister in law.

Yes she plays favorites, so you might want to kiss ass. I was one of the students she liked and I could even tell, but despite what everyone says I learned a lot in this class. Just remember to do EXACTLY as she says, no more and no less. Don't try to impress her too much, it might back fire. I didn't find the class too hard, its just a lot of work

plays favorites, she does that a lot. there could be 25 students in class but she makes it feel like only 5 belong there also I know two people had the same exact assignment and one got full credit but the other one got a mediocre grade. Does that tell you something? too bad she is the only prof. who teaches CIEP 359, very unclear! avoid!!

Contradicts herself ALL of the time. If she doesn't like you, be prepared to have a sh*tty block I experience. Thank God for the other great block I professors like Bohanon, Yu, and McCarthy.

Plays favorites. If she doesn't like you, it'll be pretty clear. For example, told me I used too many "art projects" in my Kindergarten lessons, but when one of her favorites makes the kids make puppets for their lesson it's the greatest thing ever. Despite my "art project" actually having some literacy connection. Her comments aren't constructive.

Hunt is a professor that you either love or hate. I personally loved her. She was extremely helpful and was very clear in her expectations. Class is mandatory. Her midterm was hard, so make sure you study. This class was extremely helpful.

Prof. Hunt is one of the best i've had at Loyola. She basically spells everything out for you in class and gives you ways to improve in your reflections. Listen closely during class, take time to talk to her if you have questions during clinicals, and you will be fine. I haven't seen any of this favorites business people are talking about.

I think Dr. Hunt seems tough because reading is SO important and she wants you to realize this so you don't screw up your students. She is willing to work with you, if you work with her (is this what "getting on her good side" is?), and she does offer extra credit. Use the rubrics she gives out!! And go to class!

Dr. Hunt has a ton of experience to offer her students.Her syllabus is accurate to class activities.She is puntual.She can be flexible with deadlines when spoken to in advance.At times class activities can be made up when absent.She can be easily reached before or after class for extra help.Classes & exams are easy but assignments are crucial.
