Comment:

Professor Ohlin makes class fun and gets students interested in subject matter. Lots of extra credit and in-class discussions that will be on test, so make sure to be there. She knows a lot about the subject and brings in many reputable guest speakers (job opportunities for you Hospitality majors!). Make sure to read the textbook outside of class.

She is such a nice teacher. I rented the textbook for no reason because her lectures are helpful enough that you dont need it for the exams. So dont buy it! Waste of money! Just watch her videos several times and you are set! The discussions are also really easy. She curves your grade at the end of the semester. I had a B+and she bumped me up!!

Jane Ohlin's law class was my favorite class this semester! Although attendance is not mandatory, I would highly recommend attending. She gives out a bunch of test questions and extra credit.

Dr. Ohlin is a FSU/Dedman gem. She is very knowledgable about hospitality and law, and her lectures are always super interesting. She has the best stories and sometimes goes off on a tangent, but those tangents could be on the test so pay attention.

Dr. Ohlin is the best! She is very knowledgeable about her material and makes lectures fun with personal stories and examples. Her tests are easy if you go to class and study a little bit. I personally never really used the book, but it can be helpful if you miss class. She really is the best and really understanding!

Dr. Ohlin is amazing, she's super funny and gets students excited about hospitality. She has 5 test through the year and no homework. She gives out a ton of extra credit just for showing up. Definitely need to read the textbook because she ask questions that are only mentioned in the book. Go to class and read and you'll easily get an A.

Definitely an easy grader. Discussion Boards were simple, there's a quiz each week on 2 new chapters. I didn't buy the textbook and still passed the exams. Beware, the exams are on 14 chapters each. It's a lot of material but use basic knowledge and common sense and you'll be fine. The quizzes were easy if you read the PowerPoints.

Jane was a straightforward teacher. You read two chapters a week and have a quiz weekly on those two chapters. All questions come straight from the book and she provides sample test questions to help you study! There were 3 or 4 DQ throughout the semester and were fairly easy. Only two exams. Taking her again for the upper level courses in summer!

Dr. Ohlin had my favorite class this semester! Her tests are all written the day of and if you go to class, you can easily get an A on them. She gives out a ton of extra credit and just one weekly assignment thats basically a summary of an article. Overall, great class and a great professor

Gives two assessments a week and about 2 discussion boards a month. Midterm and final were both on a lot of chapters but passing is not an issue. Study the powerpoints and you'll be fine. Oh and she gave the final a 12 point curve and our overall grade a curve too, can't complain here!

Take this class if you want an easy A. There's 1/2 assignment due each week that will literally take you at most an hour to do. Not very clear on what will be on exams so study over the power points. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK

Jane Ohlin is my favorite professor at FSU. I took her law class and she is extremely knowledgeable on the subject. While attendance is not mandatory, she tests on examples she mentions in class. Getting the book is the best bet because you need it to pass the tests. Overall a great professor who really cares for her students and shows it.

Dr. Ohlin is one of my favorite professors I've had yet! Her lectures are so entertaining and valuable. Her exams are generally written about an hour before students take it, and the questions are all based off conversations we've had in class. You have 4 exams and that's it in this class, but if you go to class you'll pass the class!

Great professor, truly knows the material as she is currently re-writing the textbook. Very textbook heavy, you NEED to read it. She does not use power points or posts anything on blackboard. She lectures straight from the book. Very funny and a nice person 10/10

I love her. Ignore what the person in 2008 said about her dropping a letter grade for a missed quiz, I scheduled a flight before I realized I had a test that day and she let me retake it. The exams are really easy, I would study for a couple hours and make A's. Take her, she really cares about students and the Dedman school!

Best professor I've had at FSU. She is very straight forward and tells you exactly what she expects from exams. Lots of extra credit and just about 10 short writing assignments. Laid back and if you go to class she gives random questions that will be on the test to test attendance. Always there to help students succeed
