i studied last minute, crammed everything, avg test grade was 35.7% (15/42) before the final and i failed the hell out the final, but came out with a C. if you get 50% on the tests you will be fine. Hmwk and Lab accounts for +40% of the grade. Study old exam from book store. aim for 7 on each exam and u will get a B minimum

Didn't need the curve to get an A. Learned alot. Good prof. Go to class and take notes/watch & listen careful - she gives hints for exam problems and does some on blackboard. Keep up with homework. There are In class quizzes which add to a point and are possible exam questions. Work hard and you will do good.

Talks to the blackboard and has difficulty explaining concepts. Weird grading method where every point off on an exam is a point off directly from your overall grade percentage. Very hard to get a hold of outside of class hours. Better off teaching yourself online especially because attendance is only 1 percent of the grade. Super heavy curve.

Very caring and wants her students to do well. Make sure you know how to do pool of related questions from Walker's old exams from bookstore before quiz and exam. She gives hints on what questions she asks so make sure you write these down and study them.. Go to all the classes and listen to her lectures. Go to ask about material you are not clear.

Excellent Teacher. Mostly lectures on blackboard and works out homework before due date. Always asks questions while working out problems. Hard not to do well if you pay attention and work out Walkers old exams. Gives hints on questions asked before test. Most tests have extra credit question. Makeup test at end of year to raise your grade.

Worst teacher I have ever had to take a class with. Talked to the board for the entirety of class, always started class late, seems to know the material but could not teach to save her life. She'll even warn you at the beginning of her class to switch into another section with a different professor because she says they're better. DON'T TAKE HER!

She seems to know her stuff, but not really how to teach it. My class lectures usually consisted of her talking at the board nonstop and not explaining things as much as she should. she also wouldn't lecture on homework topics until the day they were due quite often (online hw). I found her very difficult to follow.

Vitali is a very smart and nice professor, but the problem is when she teaches at a lower level, she expects her students to completely understand every word she says and can't explain it in any other way. She knows physics, but she doesn't know how to teach a gen ed course for it.

A very tough but interesting class and she really tried to make it more understandable! I had her for 244 as well; she takes better care of her 415 and 515 classes than the lower level ones. Note that. I would recommend this teacher!

She's very nice, don't get me wrong, but she isn't very good at teaching. I went in to her class expecting it to be reasonably difficult due to the subject material, but I honestly got nothing out of her lectures. Her tests may have been easy to someone who already understands the material well enough, but not for someone who is new to Physics.

The test questions had nothing to do with the homework. This is unfortunate because the homework should prepare you for the tests.

Very nice lady and a fair professor. The pace of class starts slow and really accelerates at the end- didn't finish material. The lecture is tolerable; the lab is hell on Earth. NO ONE knows what they are doing which was unfortunate bc it should complement the lecture-and it didn't at all. Labs on material never taught= anxiety for whole class.

Hard to understand, made mistakes in lectures that led to students being confused on exam material. Routinely ends class 10-15 minutes late. If you follow the handouts/notes that she gives you you should do alright on the tests and quizzes. She never uses the textbook, don't waste your money on it.

Can be very unclear and can make many mistakes in her lectures leading to confusion. Many test problems are nothing like the homework questions and are not always covered in lecture. Depends on another Physics professor's curriculum instead of teaching her own and fell behind schedule. Although she is a nice person, I would not recommend her.
