Comment:

Dr. Hugdahl is a great professor. We had quizzes almost every week so be prepared. We did not use the book but he would reference charts. He also gave a lot of hints as to what would be on tests, which are lecture based. The labs for CHM111 were easy. He gives good detailed feedback on tests and lectures. But overall he's a pretty chill professor.

Dr. Hugdahl is a hilarious professor. His class is fairly easy so long as you attend lecture. His lecture is interesting and he makes lab enjoyable. He always gives practice quizzes and tests so you know what kind of questions to look for. Overall, I wish I could have him for every chemistry class I have to take.

Dr. Hugdahl was an amazing general chemistry professor. He tests fairly on the material presented in class and usually gives ample practice exams/questions. He makes lectures interesting, and is always available to help outside of class. I really recommend him for chem 1 and chem 2.

So I was terrible at chemistry and literally failed every test but I went to Hugdahl's office hours every week - more than once a week sometimes - and since he knew how hard I worked he gave me a B in the class. Talk to him. Go to his office. Not only is he fun to talk to, but it'll seriously help your grade.

Hugdahl is by far my favorite professor at Mercer. He makes class fun and continuously makes jokes. I think he explains chem 1 concepts very well. He sends out practice quizzes and tests, and if you know how to those, you will do very well on the actual quizzes and tests. I would definitely recommend. I wish I could have gotten him for chem 2.

Really funny guy. He makes General Chemistry super easy because he only really cares about Organic Chemistry. Not to say he doesn't care about his students, he definitely loves his job. If you do his practice tests and the Sapling, there is no way you won't pass the class.

Make sure you show up for class. The tests are not hard if you do his practice exams and redo the notes. The only reason you wont be able to ace this class would that you didnt pay attention in class, because whatever he focuses on during class is a to-go for the exams. Moreover, he is very helpful outside of class and gives plenty of extra credit.

Amazing professor first of all, makes class very interesting and funny. If he sees you are tiring he will help you any way possible. Chem is a hard subject so he tries to make fun the topic he is teaching. Really wants his students to succeed. He only teaches things that are important to Chem I meaning 90% of it.
