He has a lot of energy and it is always so much fun to go to his class. There are quizzes that you have to take online, but it is really easy to get a good grade if you have the notes in front of you, which he even says to do. If you want a professor who gets into what he teaches, has a lot of good energy, and makes class fun, take his class.

Professor Joe is an amazing teacher and a wonderful human being. His classes are sometimes long, but it's so interesting, time will pass by before you know it. He also relates real life stories to what we read so it's easy to understand. TAKE HIS CLASSES!!!!!

Joe Varone is my favorite professor so far. Joe makes English class (my most despised class of high school) very enjoyable, fun, and easy. He gives homeworks that build your essays for you without realizing. Joe is a great professor and he really makes it feel like he genuinely cares about you as an individual.

Professor Joe always knew how to make a class interesting. He genuinely cared about his students (that showed effort). He explained things in depth, was always offering his help, and gave his students respect. You will have a lot of homework, but all the homework just makes writing the papers easier. I strongly suggest taking his class!

He is an overly nice man who is down to earth and easy to talk to. A bit goofy but thats what makes him interesting. He will help you whenever you need it but he makes you help yourself as opposed to giving you the answer you desire. Would take again.

Simply put the most out there man of alltime. He is good hearted but just makes the classroom super uncomfortable at times. Professor Joe did make class entertaining so I'll definitely give him that. Not an overly difficult class either just expect the unexpected starting on day one.

Took online, great class. Explained exactly what he wanted in super clear terms, great with communication/emails, basically spelled it out for the class. Two discussion posts/week, plus two analysis essays. Lots of reading & writing, but Prof. Joe made it easy! Fast grader, too. TAKE HIM!

Prof Joe was the best English teacher I've ever had. He really made writing a research paper so easy. His methods work, all you have to do is show up for class and do the work and you'll definitely get an A. He does have a weird sense of humor, but if that doesn't bother you, then you should totally take his class. He's also very helpful.

I took Professor Joe in Spring Semester 13. I will say that Professor Joe has a very unique way to teach you how to write research papers. He made the class fun and interesting. A very funny individual who is always active. GO TO CLASS and DO THE WORK and you will get a solid grade. I recommend his class.

Prof Joe really opened my eyes and helped me to see things in a whole new way. You don't have to be an english major to enjoy this class. He keeps everyone interested. I took this class because my counselor recommended it and I'm glad I did.

Prof. Joe is the following: hyped up on caffeine, enthusiastic, out of the ordinary, and helpful. His way of grading seemed a bit...unorthodox at first. But in actuality, I think I learned a lot more this way. He's great.
